Harper never expected to try out for the cheerleading squad, considering her history of playing various sports - soccer, basketball, you name it. But when Bree invited her to join, Harper found herself intrigued.
With her schedule relatively open, she often found herself at the Davenport mansion, spending time with Adam, Bree, Chase and Leo. What better way to shake up her usual routine than trying something new?
So, one morning, after Bree had insisted that she'd be 'a natural,' Harper agreed to give cheerleading a shot. The living room in the Davenport mansion was spacious, making it the perfect place to practice their routine without interruptions. And it was quiet - at least, for the time being.
"Ready! Okay!" Bree shouted with a grin, shaking her pom-poms excitedly as she waited for Harper to join in.
"We're dynamite! We're dynamite!" The girls cheered in unison, jumping and shaking their pom-poms. "We're tick-tick-tick-tick boom! Dynamite! We're boom! Dynamite! Whoo! Boom! Boom!"
The moves were a bit silly, but it was hard not to get caught up in the energy. Harper felt her own excitement building as they perfected the routine, although she wasn't sure if it was the cheerleading spirit or the sheer joy of being able to do something completely out of her comfort zone.
Suddenly, Adam came running into the room, panting and clutching his chest. "Bree, Harper, you scared me! I thought you guys blew up."
"No, Adam, we were just practicing our cheer." Harper explained, still catching her breath from the routine.
"Oh, you mean, tick-tick-tick-tick boom! We're dynamite! We're boom!" Adam shouted, jumping from side to side. "Also, what is boom dynamite? I'm all excited and I don't even know what it is!"
Bree beamed, a wide grin on her face. "Adam, that's the beauty of cheerleading. You don't have to think."
"Then it's perfect for me! I cannot wait for try-outs!" He exclaimed happily.
"Wait, you're trying out?"
"Duh, you just saw my mad tick-boom-pow skills. Pow! That's the pow part."
"You can't try out for cheerleading. That's our thing." Bree explained, gesturing her pom-poms before herself and Harper. "And besides, there's only two spots open on the squad, and you do not wanna compete against us."
"Yeah, I do." Adam said with determination. "See, cheerleading is one of the few sports that isn't competitive enough to raise my adrenaline and make me glitch out. So, primp your pom-poms, girlies, cause I'm about to be aggressive! Be-e aggressive! Again, I'm all excited and I don't even know why!"
Bree crossed her arms and glared at her brother as he skipped out of the living room, doing a little cheerleader hop.
"Come on, Bree, let's keep practicing our routine." Harper urged, trying to push aside the distraction and get back to focusing on the task at hand.
