Oliver made his way to the pack room after getting a text from Kane. As he walked in, he saw Darren standing in the room. The door shut behind him, and he heard the lock.
"What is going on?" Oliver asks.
Darren crosses his arms. "You are avoiding me, so this is the only way I could talk to you," Darren explains, and before Oli can say anything, he adds, "Why are you avoiding me?"
"You were avoiding me. I'm just giving you the space you want," Oliver responds.
"I stopped avoiding you. Things went back to normal. I don't want space!" Darren exclaimed.
"Well, I can't go back to normal anymore," Oliver says.
"What do you mean? Why not?" Darren asks.
"I like you! I know you don't like me, and I respect your feelings. I just need some time to get over the rejection and my feelings before going back to normal," Oliver says dejectedly.
Darren is ready to argue, but hearing Oliver's response makes him freeze. He looks at Oliver, confused. "Rejection? How did I reject you when you never confessed!" Darren shouted.
"I was courting you! You rejected all of the courting gifts!" Oliver raises his voice a bit in desperation.
"Courting gifts? What are you talking about?" Darren asks, trying to remember if he had received any gifts recently.
"The book I gave you, and then you put it on the baby's bookshelf," Oliver states.
"The Baby book? The book that is for babies that you handed to me while we were inside the baby's room? How was I supposed to know that it was for me and not the baby?" Darren asks, exasperated.
"After that, I got you food," Oliver continues.
"That's not a courting gift! We all get each other food sometimes!" Darren counters.
"I know, so I tried something more obvious next! My sweater! then you gave it back, so just in case it wasn't obvious enough, I scented one and gave it to you!" Oliver says.
"I thought... I thought someone else put them in there," Darren explains sheepishly.
"I scented it," Oliver states once more.
"I thought it was dirty laundry," Darren explains, then quietly adds, "I wanted to keep it, but I thought you would notice it was missing."
"You wanted to keep it because it was mine?" Oliver asks, hopeful.
Darren nods, looking down to hide his embarrassed blush. "That night that I asked to talk to you, I was going to tell you that I maybe liked you, but then I chickened out, and then I thought things were back to normal, but you were trying to court me, and I'm so stupid," he trails off at the end with a frustrated groan.
Oliver chuckles, "Well, I'm not going to argue with that."
Darren's head shoots up to frown at Oliver, and he crosses his arms. "Hey! You can't insult me! 1st rule of being my boyfriend is no insulting me!" Darren says, and he struggles to keep his tone serious and not break into laughter.
A look of surprise appears on Oliver's face before being replaced with a large smile before asking, "Does this mean I'm your boyfriend?"
"Well, that's up to you. Are you going to keep insulting me?" Darren asks.
Oliver shakes his head. "Only compliments from now on!" Oliver states.
Darren smiles and opens his arms. "Prove it," he says.
