Over the past two weeks me and Carter got closer. We texted daily and video called sometimes. He was such an awesome person. He had great personality and could cheer you in the darkest moments. Everything was good and we decided to go to the arcade today.

I picked out a quick outfit consisting of black polo and some black cargo pants. I put on some black boots to match the outfit as well. When I grabbed what I needed I left.

When I was at the arcade I looked for him. He was nowhere to be seen.
After 15 minutes I saw him coming in through the door, pretty out of breath. He saw me and started waking over.

He was wearing blue jeans, a black t-shirt and some white sneakers. On his head he had some sunglasses.
He looked great.

When he came over to me he apologized immediately for how late he was. His boss made him wait out on some people. He said that they left a good tip so it made it better.

For 2 hours we just played games.

"Hey we have been here for 2 hours now, let's go get something to eat. I am starving."

He said it with so much excitement. He was looking forward to getting some food in his body I guess. I smiled.

God, that is gonna be fun.

"Yeah sure. You lead the way."
We left the arcade and noticed a restaurant just down the block.

"There, let's try the food there."

"Yeah, sure."

When we got in the restaurant and started picking out what to order. I wanted to die on the spot.

He ordered a steak with a salad and some Fanta. While I ordered a salad and a glass of water.

When the waitress left with our order he looked at me suspiciously.

"Why are you looking at me like that?"

"Did you know I have younger sister, she is soon to be 16?"

"I didn't know but I still don't get why you are looking at me that way."

"We will talk about it later but for now let's talk about you. How is school life going?"

"It's going fine me and Dream have presentation for next week that we have to do."

"Do you enjoy Clay's company?"

"Oh hell yeah. We always laugh about something and that always brings up my mood."

"When did you guys meet and how?"

"He was the stereotypical player and he started to annoy the hell out of me. He was flirting with me in English class. The first time I saw him he thought he could get in my pants that easily."

He listened to me ramble about my life after that. Our food came and I had some but covered it with talking. He was just looking at me and I swear to god I could see him look down at my plate a couple of times.

It had been a while and I didn't plan on finishing the salad. When he noticed so he spoke up.

"George you don't have to hide it from me. I know."

I shot him a confused look so he continued.

"My sister she developed an ED two years ago. I went on enough therapy groups to know what to look for."

I decided to play dumb. Maybe this way he won't continue the conversation, just in case he was wrong.

"I still don't get what you mean."

"We have been friends for two weeks now. And you haven't mentioned one thing about food. And I have never seen you eat anything else from a salad. You don't have to cover it up. Just know that I am here if you ever need someone."

He was the best. I couldn't ask for a better friend. True when I saw him at first I may have had a bit of a crush but to be honest I think I was just confused.
I didn't want to date him I wanted him to be my best friend. He had 3 years more experience in life than me so I guess, I am gonna listen to him.
