Test tube (Bruce Banner X Reader)

           You loved your husband with all your heart but if you found one more test tube in the sink you were going to explode.

After thirteen years of marriage you would have thinked he knew not to put his scientific equipment in the sink but here you were stalking down the hallway towards his office.

Opening the door you stood confused for a few minutes, Bruce wasn't in his office. This was surprising considering that he spent more time here than he did in any other area in your home. 

Leaving the room you searched the rest of the house for your husband but still couldn't find him. Taking a seat at the kitchen table you think about where he could be, you hadn't heard the car or the garage so he didn't leave the house but you didn't know where else he could be. 

Sitting there in silence you realize you haven't heard your son in a while too. Your confusion turned into concern when you heard something hit the outside of the house. Jumping up from your seat you open the back door to a sight that you'd never think was capable of happening. 

Bruce was laughing as he caught a ball in his baseball mitt while your son, Adam, stood with a smile on his face. The two threw the ball back and forth for a while before you were noticed by your husband. 

He took his mitt off and placed it on the ground as he walked towards you, the smile on his face growing bigger. Finally reaching you he envelopes you in a hug. 

You let out a chuckle and hugged him back. "I've been looking for you everywhere."

Bruce pulled away to look at your face before answering, "I was in my office but Adam wanted to throw the ball around so I took a break."

Placing a kiss to your forehead he pulls away completely and turns to Adam. 

"Let's get a few more throws in before it's time for dinner kiddo. "

Bruce and Adam go back to their game while you return to the sink and the seemingly never ending pile of dishes in it. 

It wasn't until you looked at the test tube that you remembered why you were searching for Bruce in the beginning. 

"BRUCE"

You heard the two boys laugh before your husband stood in the doorway. 

"Yes, my love?"
