Confusion was the only emotion you could feel when you noticed the giant robotic frog placed outside your house. Just getting back from your day at school you had arrived home to find a frog parked in the driveway instead of your parents cars.

The logical thing would be to go around the block once and hope that when you return the frog would be gone but you threw logic to the wind and went inside.

"Mom? Dad? Why is there a giant frog parked in the driveway? "

No response is heard but the sound of Metal clanging came from your parents' study. Grabbing a baseball bat from the coat closet you make your way up the stairs.

You can hear the sound of someone talking to themselves as the paper rustling got louder and seemingly more rushed.

Stopping just outside the doorway you peek your head around the corner to see a boy with metal hands going through filing cabinets. He seemed to be alone and unarmed unless you counted whatever was going on with his hands.

Returning back to your hiding position you think of the best way to tackle this situation, you couldn't just let him leave with paper work. You had no clue what was in those cabinets but it was definitely important due to the fact your parents kept them locked 24/7.

Taking a deep breath you turn the corner so you're now standing in the doorway to the office, the boys back still to you.

You hear him mutter something that sounds celebratory before he turns and his face immediately drops after seeing you.

Not taking a chance you swing the bat but he manages to grab it before smiling at you, "So I'd really like to explain myself if you'd give m-"

He doesn't finish the sentence seeing as you had kneed him in the groin and then provided to hit him in the leg when he let go of your bat.

"What are you doing in my house and where are my parents? "

The boy stays on the floor still collecting his breath as you question him. He takes a second before lifting up a hand to signify he was going to speak.

"I would have explained everything if you gave me a chance instead of assaulting me. "

You roll your eyes at his statement and lower your bat, "I wouldn't use the term assault considering you're the one that's breaking and entering. "

He thinks for a second before getting up and dusting off his pants even though the floor is clean.

"Touché. Anyways I don't know where your parents are, the house was empty when I got here and I'm looking for an important paper. "

Looking towards the floor you notice the paper he dropped and pick it up, holding it out of the way when he tries to grab it from you but still close to read it.

"Mutant animals? My parents are real estate agents. Why would they have this? "

Crab hands, the name you've come up with for this strange boy, gives you a sympathetic look and finally manages to grab the paper from you.

"Guess mom and dad aren't as great as you thought they were. "

Taking a second you place the bat down and breathe for what seems the first time in a while. You hear the lock in the front door as a look of panic comes across Crab hands face.

"Look I don't think it's safe for you here anymore after learning this. You'll have to come with me. "

The front door opens and you hear your mother's voice call out for you. You wanted to stay and ask if it was all true but you knew he was right.

"I don't even know your name. "

He gives you a small smile before going to the window and opening it enough so he could slip out of it.

"It's Chase Stein. "

The sounds of shoes coming up the stairs is the only thing you can hear as you grab Chase's hand and get pulled out the window and into the metal frog.

"This better be worth it Chase Stein. "
