Ivy raised her drink and took a sip ignoring everyone without any regards.

" But Ivy it's not good to bully your sister like this even if she is in the wrong she already apologized just forget about it." With one look she could already guess what happened. Ivy was probably jealous of the close bond between Luxis and Jason so she was making things difficult for her.

Luxis felt like a fool she was so angry right now but she couldn't show it. Just how is her reaction so unexpected? Can't she just act according to the script?

Ivy looked at them with no expression but only she knew about the nonsense she was thinking right about.

" Hey Rose! No matter what, you can not make things difficult for the young lady. She was quiet all along while Luxis here began jumping to conclusions creating something out of nothing. Even if she did get angry she has all the rights, who wouldn't get angry to see someone else hold their fiance so tightly without letting go? Hmm?" Someone in the crowd said.

" I didn't mean anything sister I am sorry it was a mistake please forgive me" Luxis started crying and her eyes turned red. Many people felt sad seeing such a scene and began sympathising with her.

" She already apologized you can't be so heartless that she cries to such an extent"

"Yes yes she is still your sister even if it involves your fiance it can't be that you expect him to watch her fall"

" If it was up to me I would dissolve you engagement and find another daughter-in-law"

Ivy stood up and walked out from the dark. Displaying her gorgeous body. She was wearing a mask therefore only her eyes could be seen. She had an aura that didn't belong to her and her eyes were as calm as the sea with all the dangers and beauties hidden underneath.

Many men were shocked at her appearance but they gave up with the thought that she was Jason's fiance.

They all heard about her being an ugly freak that had a good background but seeing her in person gave off a different feeling. Although they couldn't see how ugly she looked it felt like she was something beyond their reach her aura made people submit to her. It was as if she was the empress and they were the enuch.

Rose kept quiet however her hand was gently brushing Luxis to show the crowd on whose side she was on. She was expecting to see envy on Ivy's face but instead she couldn't tell what she was thinking. She looked indifferent almost to the point of yawning in boredom and that gave her a bad feeling. That feeling was getting stronger and stronger and she was proven right when Ivy took a glass of red wine and walked to Luxis.

Because of her leashed aura the people behind subconsciously took a step back.

Red wine ran down her white dress. Luxis opened her eyes wide in shock ,this dress cost her big money. When she lifted her head up to look at the culprit she trembled with fear. This was not an act this was real fear from the heart and she immediately moved back.

Rose and Jason too stood a distance away from her. For a moment they felt as if they were next but the next moment when Ivy glanced at them they looked away in embarrassment.

But she wasn't done. After putting down glass a smack followed.

"Slap!"

Everyone was in disbelief. That slap was straight, on point and painful to even look at.

" Apologies accepted. Now I can let this go" her calm voice rang out in the hall followed by silence.

Although the slap was directed at Luxis ,Rose felt as if it was her who actually got slapped because she spoke those words just now. She lost face infront of so many people she swore she would remember this.

People didn't even dare comment. Ivy's attitude was clearly telling them "I am heartless what can you do about it"

Some couldn't help but take another step back.

" Ivy!" Rose called out irritated.
Ivy turned around to face her. Her eyes were as calm as ever it was as if she wasn't the one who just slapped her cousin.

" Luxis did wrong by doing that but think of the overall situation.  She knows that Jason is her brother-in-law she wouldn't do something to shame her family. Don't you think you have gone too far by pouring her wine then slapping her infront of everyone?"

Rose was tounge tied. She didn't expect her to agree to easily.

Everyone attentively kept their gazes on her.

Tiger pushed Lightning who was leaning towards him away." Why are you so close? People might misunderstand us"

" President! I did what you asked me to inquire about and  discovered that today Rose Collins will be announcing the engagement between her son and Ivy Cruz. Currently  Ivy Cruz is at the event.
