C48 Earasing memory

She walked in and a maid led her to the living room. Rodof was not present. Rose sat down holding a folder with pictures of wedding dresses. She looked up with a kind smile at Ivy.

Ivy too smiled but her ugly face didn't make her look any better. Rose sneered in her heart. Who would accept such a ugly daughter-in-law in this era.

" Ivy come here. I want to choose a wedding dress with you today. Then we can make some other arrangements later." Then she instructed the maid to get the drinks and snacks.

" Sure" Ivy sat down and picked up the folder and glanced at the dresses. Most of the dresses were extravagant with many complicated patterns but they still looked pleasing and beautiful but unfortunately it didn't suit her taste. She could tell that Rose was mocking her. Imagine an ugly freak walking up in a banquet with a red dress that makes her the centre of attention. People would of course find it displeasing and an unbearable sight.

She flipped a few more pages before finding a simple off shoulder dress. It hugged the waist then there was a long tail all the way down. There were glistering sparks at the tail with a see through pattern. That was her style.

"This one" she pointed out.
Rose's smile cracked a little at her choice." Ivy this is too simple, you will look more like a brides maid then the bride. Why don't you choose something more classy like this one with diamonds"

As she spoke the maid brought in the drink and snacks." It's too expensive aunt" she said as she picked up a biscuit.

Rose smiled." Well let's continue looking then. Drink some juice don't feel shy this will soon be your house"

" Mm"

She picked up the juice and finished everything that was inside.

Rose smiled even more brightly and picked up the biscuit and passed it to her. " I am fine aunt the juice is nicer"

" Okay then have more"

A few minutes later  Ivy touched her head and frowned. " Ouch! My head is paining"

" Ivy are you okay? I'll call the doctor for you. It might be serious"

" No don't call the doctor it might be because of the weather" she refused.

" Well are you sure?" She asked concerned.

" I ... I "

She fainted before she could finish her sentence.

She woke up in an unfamiliar room. It was white all over. Her bracelet was still on her wrist. She breathed a sigh of relief. Her clothes were still in tact. She looked around and discovered a camera.

She panicked and looked scared." Hello! Hello is anybody there? Help me! Somebody help me!" Tears start forming on her face.

Rodof who was watching her in the monitor room watched with interest. " What a scaredy cat"

" Let her panic more than we will begin the operation."

A bunch of doctors wearing white coats nodded and walked to the room.

Ivy stared at them blankly." Am I in a hospital? Why am I in a hospital? I am not sick! I am tired. Let me go alright? please just let me go"

Nobody said a thing and just stood there emotionless and watched her crying.

An hour later the room turned red and the doctors in white coats began moving around with tools and other weird gadgets. Finally one of them spoke" 107, you are about to be operated on please cooperate or we will be moved to use force"

Being called with a number Ivy was able to guess that she was in the laboratory of Rodof's assassination organisation.
But she still didn't know what the operation was about.

" What are you operating me on?" She asked weakly.

" We are earasing all your memories"

" Why? Leave me alone I don't have to forget any thing. Stay away from me" she screamed at her lungs.

" Hahaha" Rose who was also watching laughed with joy

They laughed but what they didn't know was that the cameras were messed up with and Ivy was no longer in the room. Ivy was already outside the laboratory. All she had to do was cause an illusion and being a great hacker that was pretty easy. She found a button on the bracelet and pressed it.

Vance on the other side received the signal and moved forward with the special forces behind him. He was in a very gloomy mood and nobody dared approach him. He has faced countless dangers but knowing that Ivy was inside made him extremely restless and worried. He could only hope she was safe. " Move faster!. Surround the whole base!" he commanded.

There were many guards  patrolling the place and Ivy didn't want to alert anyone. She discreetly made her way to the main monitor room. She kept sticking something on a wall every time she moved. Having the map of the area she had everything under control.

She knew exactly how such organisations operated after all she was once tortured and experienced the suffering any child brought here would face. Experiments, cruel training and harsh learning environment and speed. When she got kidnapped at the age of 12 she was brought to such an organisation. The only difference was that she didn't go on any missions but only practice missions. Before she could dirty her hands she was rescued but the trauma and pain remained engraved in her bones.

The experience led to the transformation of her personality. After getting rescued she had to go through countless therapy and psychological treatment to recover. A lost girl whose parents just died was all by herself in a corner surrounded by darkness.

But she found a sense of light when she met a teenage boy. He was cold and lonely. He never spoke to anyone but looking at him she decided to give him warmth and eventually she was able to walk out of the darkness. Although he spoke less he slowly opened up to her. Everytime she went to the hospital she would go see him in his ward. At that time she didn't know why he spent his days in the hospital and just accompanied him.

One day he had to leave and as a farewell gift he passed her that silver necklace with a letter V and said." In the future I will definitely find you as long as you wear this. You see this bracelet on my hand. I will personally put it on you when we meet again." His shadow slowly disappeared from there and she wore the necklace always.
