Ivy swallowed hard. She almost fainted right there and then.

She stared at him in shock before turning her face away without saying anything.

He simply stared at the laptop infront of him without looking at  her." Drive , you heard the Ms , drive fast very fast we must leave this place." He said ever slowly in his magnetic, attractive voice

The uncle driver smiled," yes, yes where too?"

Vance told him the address and the car drove off.

On the other side Jason held "Ivy's" hand and got off stage. " Why are you covering your face? You don't have to feel ashamed of your looks I don't mind"

Luxis who was apparently Ivy clenched her fist. She didn't feel good hearing how gentle he was with Ivy. He hasn't even treated her like this why should Ivy receive such treatment.

She knew that she couldn't hide for too long so she whispered in his ear. Immediately Jason released her hand. Subconsciously he looked around to see if Ivy was around. He still remembers the commotion caused earlier. He managed to leave a good impression and didn't want to ruin it.

Luxis felt uncomfortable but didn't show it" she left already"

" Oh right well go upstairs I'll go find my mother" he started walking away.

" Wait!" She called out and hesitated.

" What's wrong"

" Are you free tomorrow maybe we could..."

" Sorry I have plans maybe next time" he immediately walked away from her.

She stared at his back for a while before walking back upstairs.

Ivy sat quietly in the car texting on her phone repeatedly.

Ivy:[I am dead I got discovered 😭]

Delvis:[Who ? Rose?]

Ivy:[No, an even more dangerous person I doubt I will come out in one piece. Why is life so difficult]

Delvis:[😳 Vance?]

Ivy:[Yeah]

Delvis:[RIP in advance]

Ivy:[😭😭prepare a coffin for me. Tell dad that I love him and you take care of my company. Good bye]

Delvis:[  I love you too. I'll go prepare it now😢 it's sad you die at such a young age and you not even married. What about JoJo?]

Ivy,"..."
She couldn't be bothered to reply to him anymore.
She logged out but received another message.

Tiger:[ V! I have big news. President is after a vixen. I don't know what she looks like but her name is Ivy something.]

Tiger: [To be able to seduce our Boss she must be extremely powerful in witch craft or a scorcerer.]

Lightning: [I agree. 🤨Just who is our boss . This is a beauty trap no no no poisonous trap,definitely our enemies who hypnotized him when they got a chance.]

Tiger: [ I bet she is ugly as hell and did plastic surgery or a face lift. Women do that these days]

Ripper: [Scheming manipulator]

Lightning: [Hey V why are you quiet? Say something. What do you think we should do???]

Ripper: [ Exterminate her]

She took a deep breath before typing. V:[ Maybe she isn't that bad]

There was silence for a while.

Tiger: [ V!! Are you kidnapped?]

Lightning: [ Somebody probably hacked her account, must be a long time enemy who finally found a breakthrough]

Ripper:[ Karma]

Ivy felt like crying. Even Ripper was like this what more the man next to her.

Vance who was typing all seriously curled his lips when he saw her frustration.

Ivy switched off her phone.
Why did she feel like she was the first woman to fool the Great Vance Lancaster and now had to face this.

The taxi stopped infront of a mansion. The huge gates opened revealing a beautiful swimming pool.
The mansion was white and magnificent no matter how one looked at it.Beautiful high arched windows.Velvet drapes framed the windows, the lace inner curtains remained drawn. She could see a nice view of the moon and stars that shone on that starry night.

" Sit " He suddenly spoke and immediately she got nervous. Slowly she turned around to face him.

He frowned before looking at her displeased. "Ugly! Go wash your face are you trying to cause load shedding here"

Do you have to dispise me so much??

After washing off the make up she looked at herself in the mirror and tried smiling at her self. A glint passed through her cunning eyes before she turned into a well behaved child.

She hung her head low and stood infront of him quietly.

" Ivy Cruz"

She tensed up and felt the same type of pressure she felt the first time they met she just wanted to escape but very well knew that there was no use.

" Don't be mad okay! I was wrong I didn't want to lie to you I even wanted to tell you but I was afraid"

Vance tapped lightly on the table," Afraid? Afraid of what?

" Well I thought you hated women around you so so I..."

" Pretended to be a man? You are indeed courageous"

" No I only use that as a disguise for business"

" Business you say?" He stood up and approached her. " Do I fall under your business?"

" That that ..." Ivy didn't know what to say anymore.

Vance touched her chin and lifted it up looking into her eyes. Ivy was drawn into his hazel eyes and her heart sped up. Her eyes brightened and a small smile bloomed on her gorgeous face.

Vance couldn't look away and chuckled. " I knew your identity for a while now"

Ivy sighed in her heart. Nothing can be hidden from this man at all.

" Does that mean I am forgiven?" She blinked.

He let her go and walked to the window." No"

" I am a little angry you see. I only went away for a few days and the next thing I hear is you getting engaged. If it was for months would I find you married with kids?"

"..."

This is a misunderstanding.

" No that's a misunderstanding. I didn't even know she was going to announce it anyway I am going to dissolve the engagement but ,I have to find out something first that's all. I have nothing to do with Jason. Believe me"

" Do you forgive me now?"

Satisfied with her answer Vance smiled at her. "Yes. I believe you"

That shot right at her heart. For some reason she felt that he implied something else but she stopped thinking about it and smiled back.

She felt warmth creep into her heart and at that moment she knew exactly what she felt and she had no plans on stopping it.
