the shadow in Shadowhunters

Chapter 9

I put a bit of my magic on clary so I can listen to everything she says before I left with the vampires.

I was sitting next to Raphael as we where talking it been years since I helped the vampires that why I know they haven't told my true identity well what they know of me.
Raph "what did  you do leo"
Me "what do you mean"
Raph "you wouldn't let them leave with out knowing what they are doing"
Me "do you want to listen"
Raph "yes"

I waved my hand in front of me and then we heard voices.

Clary "I still don't understand how can Shadowhunters be better than what you people call mundanes"
Izzy "because we protect humans"
Clary sighs "you're right"
Clary "humans."
Clary "you protect humans"
Clary "you left Simon all alone in the van."
Clary "great job, guys. You rock."

Raph "seems like they are getting along."
Me "they really are stupid"

Alec "there is some truth to the idea that humans beings should have a modicum of common sense"
Alec "also your brother what is he"
Alec "he is not human and they called him little devil"
Clary scoffs
Clary "how should I know"

Izzy "Alec not now"
Jace "look, they won't do anything to Simon or your brother. They just wanted to draw you out"

Jace "they want the cup, and they think you have it."
Clary "but why do they think that?"
Clary "why does anyone think that?"
Clary "what my mum lies to me my entire life except, 'oh, by the way, there's this magic cup, I hid on, like, the planet bongo, but don't tell anyone. '"

Clary sighs "what am I supposed to do now?"
Alec "we have to report to the clave."
Jace "great"
Alec "they have to know we're learned about valentine."
Clary "what, that he's mine and my brother father?"
Clary "great. Fine. Tell them."
Clary "what good does that do Simon and my brother?"

Jace "clary, it's all connected. The vamps want the cup."

Raph "I have to go and plan Leo be careful we still own you a favour."

Alec "nobody wants valentine forming an army loyal to himself."
Izzy "plus it controls demons it might be able to control your brother."
Jace "they'll propose a trade. Simon for the cup."
Clary "so, vampires will trade Simon for the cup."
Clary "what about my brother he might have information."
Clary "valentine will trade my mother for the cup."

Clary "either way, I lose someone I love"
Clary "what if I just toss it up in the air and let them fight it out among themselves?"
Alec "so this doesn't matter to you?"
Clary "yes, of course, it matters? "
Clary "listen when you saved my life I put my trust in me."

Clary "I can't turn into what you are overnight."
Izzy "it's true. She was raised as a mundane."

Alec "what are you, her spokesman now?"
Clary "I don't need a spokesman, I need a plan."

They stop talking so I let my magic spell go. I hear Simon pounding on the door
Simon "Hello!"
So I ignored him I sit next to Raph and camille ignored both of them.

Raph left to get Simon so I just sat in a chair in the corner.

Me and camille walked into the room.
Camille "won't kill you?"
Simon "Leo are you OK?"
Me "yeah"
Camille "who said that?"
Camille "Raphael"
Me "what happened to your jacket"
Raph "he happened"
I laughed at him.

Camille "oh look"
Camille "how sweet."
Camille "you're bleeding."
I saw her wipe a bit of blood off with her finger and lick it.
Camille "I am so looking forward to getting to know you."
