we all hid next to the lift as luke friend walked out.
clary "he's on our side."
jace "you sure?"
me "he is a part of luke pack he has no choice ."

jace "isn't that the line he used when he kidnapped you?"
clary "good point."
jace stops the lift.
clary "what now? we're supposed to climb the elevator shaft and waltz in the vault unnoticed?"

jace "now, why didn't i think of that?"
clary laughed .
clary "wait, you're kidding, right?"
me "he better be."
jace "remember the binoculars?"
clary "yeah."

jace "this one's a nyx rune. it's like night vision."
jace "you can copy mine."
jace "you got it?"
clary "yeah."

clary "why do i need night vision?"
jace "you'll see."
clary started to try and do the rune.
clary "um..."
jace "feel free to ask for help."

clary "i, um... u think i can take it from here."
jace "where's the fun in that?"
me "lets just hope something doesn't poke at your ass."

clary "i think you messed something up."
jace "really?"
jace "no, i didn't."
clary "then why isn't it working?"

the alarm starts blaring.
jace "that's the signal."

jace "going up."
i teleport to the room i'm not going last not with them.

jace "what is this crap?"
jace "lunch receipts?"
someone walked in we all hid.
jace "you're getting good with your stele."
clary "well, at least we know he's not a downworlder."

jace "lucky for us."
me "only you two."
jace "give me a heads up next time you're gonna do that."
we started looking for lukes things.

clary "in here."
jace "this will take all day."
me "shut your mouth."
clary tips the box over.
jace "or you could just do that."
jace "that looks exactly like the mortal cup."
clary "this is it. it has to be."
jace "what's wrong?"

clary "[stammers] i'm not sure, i.."
jace "you're not sure what's wrong or you're not sure where your mum hid the cup?"

we walked out of the police station.
alec "did you get it?"
clary "theoretically?"
alec "theoretically?"
clary "yeah [sighs]"
clary "i found the card. i just have to figure out how i reached into my notebook before. it's..."

clary "it's not an exact science."
alec "can't you just pull the cup out?"
clary "i can, theoretically. i just..."
clary "it's not as easy as it looks, alec."

jace "listen, you two can discuss theory as much as you want when we get back to the institute."
jace "but right now, considering we just stole from the cops, i suggest we get home."
izzy "guys..."
her neckless starts pulsing there a demond near by.
izzy "i think the mundanes might be the least of our worries."
