jace "good."
jace "that's a good punch."
me "any punch is a good punch."
clary "yeah."
clary "i'm, uh, i'm workin' on it."

magnus "while this conversation is no doubt scintillating, remind me why we couldn't do this at my place?"
magnus "at least there we'd have cocktails."
me "true."

clary "it's 9:00 in the morning."
me "so, it never to early to drink."
magnus "oh, it's happy hour somewhere, my dear."
me and magnus smile at each other."
jace "we invited you here, magnus, because hodge can't leave the institute."
jace "he's an important part of this mission."

magnus "well, than where is our tardy little tutor?"
magnus "there are certain individuals that i'd like to avoid, so let's make this quick."
me "agreed."
hodge "pardon the delay, magnus."
hodge "i was following up on a lead."

me "so."
hodge "shut up."
me "what ever."
hodge "now, we've narrowed down our list of warlocks to these three."
hodge "why is rognor fell up there?"

magnus "he's not more powerful than i am."
hodge "well some would disagree."
hodge "he is older than you."
me "i don't disagree with magnus."
magnus "thanks."
magnus "he's certainly not wiser."

clary "who is ragnor fell?"
jace "the former high warlock of london."
magnus "and one of my oldest friend."
magnus "very prickly, likes to keep to himself."
hodge "okay, look."
hodge "we just need to figure out which one of these warlocks had enough access to jocelyn that they could create the potion for her without anyone discovering what they'd done."

magnus "by the early '90's, ragnor was a professor at the shadowhunter academy in ldris."
clary "isn't that when my mother lived there?"
clary "could he have made the potion for her?"
magnus "the little bugger!"
magnus "that's why he hasn't responded to my fire message."
magnus "ever since valentine began hunting warlocks, ragnor's been holed up in his secret country house just outside of london."

magnus "for all i know, ragnor suspected my fire message was a ploy by valentine to lure him out of hiding."
magnus "we'll have to confront him face-to-face."
hodge "you're going on this mission?"
magnus "of course!"
me "i'm going too."

magnus "i'm the only one ragnor trusts."
magnus "besides, i've played my last hand here."
magnus "even i know when to fold."

alec and lydia walked in.
lydia "magnus, i didn't i know you were here."
magnus "that was the point ."
lydia "we're just on our way greet a few representatires of the clave who arrived early for tomorrow's wedding."
lydia "how long are you staying?"
alec "what's going on here?"
alec "nobody told me about a meeting."
