chapter 58

the door opens and clary, jace and michael walk in.
clary "we need help!"
luke "clary, what happened?"
clary "we thought we found valentine, but he was already gone."

clary "when did you get here?"
me "a long time ago, you are really slow."
luke "michael wayland?"
clary "valentine took my mother with him, but we found jace's father."

simon "what?"
simon "i thought valentine killed jace's father."
michael "he tried."
me "not hard enough."
michael "hello, lucian."
luke "this can't be."
luke "i thought i'd never see you again."
michael "i never thought i'd see anyone again."

luke "what happened?"
clary "demon got him."
clary "he can't fight the poison."
clary "his runes are too weak and he needs blood, but we can't go back to the institute."

clary "simon."
clary "simon, there's gotta be some kind of blood at hotel dumort."
clary "could you call raphael?"
michael "can you get some water?"

luke "i'll get some."
simon "calling won't work."
simon "we have to do this in person."
simon "my van is in the garage."
simon "you drive, i'll hide under a blanket to stay out of the sun, and..."

simon "there's underground parking in the hotel."
clary "okay."

michael "he's weaker."
michael "you gotta hurry."
clary "jace, listen to me."
clary "i'm coming back."
clary "please, just hang on."
clary "please."

clary "please."
jace "clary?"
clary "simon, let's go."
simon "come on."

me "move over!"
michael move a bit for me to sit inbetween. i used a bit of magic to take his pain away. jace was able to breath better as i grit my teeth in pain.

michael "here you go."
michael gave his coat to jace.
luke "i thought you were dead."
luke "there were rumors that..."
michael "everybody thought they were true."

michael "he tried to kill me, but i survived the attack."
michael "i've been a prisoner ever since."
michael "i never thought i'd see him again."

michael "how did you survive what he did to you?"
luke "jocelyn pulled me through."
luke "you were there."
luke "did he hurt her?"

michael "no, and he won't."
michael "we both know that."
michael "he'll never stop loving jocelyn, even if he wanted to."

michael "she'll be safe."
michael "he's awake."
luke "jace, help is coming."
luke "thank you leo."
luke "we'll talk later."
luke "be with your son."
luke leaves.
michael "hey, jace."
michael "i'm so sorry."
jace "sorry?"
jace "why?"
