i woke up a hour later and walked into the living room.

clary "i know where the cup is."
jace "come again?"
clary "the tarot cards."
clary "my mum, she must have painted them years ago, but the mortal cup has to be hidden inside the ace of cups."
clary "the card looks exactly like it."

clary "wait, why arrn't you guys happy about this?"
clary "all we have to do is find..."
clary "dot."

jace "if dot had the cards when she was taken, we don't have much time."
jace "if valentine gets his hands on the cup--"
magnus "we know."
magnus "if valentine started creating shadowhunters or gained control od demons, it'd be like beyonce' riding on a dinosaur through time square."

magnus "people would notice."
clary "but he can control demons i've seen it."
magnus "mmm, paying off a few demons is easy, especially since they rarely survive long enough to collect."

rogue stood by my side and put a arm around me.
jace "still waiting on valentine's thank-you card."
magnus "opening the gates of hell... that's a little more tricky."

luke starts walking in.
luke "valentine doesn't have the cards."
luke "i do."
luke "they're in my desk back at the precinct."
luke "when clary went missing, i went to the loft and i cleared everything out, 'cause i didn't want the circle to track her."

clary "that's great. this should be easy."
magnus "mmm, that's what general custer said."
luke "magnus is right."
luke "valentine has spies everywhere, even in the NYPD."
luke "we have to be discreet."
clary "discreet?"

clary "you look like something out of the mummy movie."
me "wait that luke not a mummy, we are a hundred percent discreet."
everyone laughed.

luke "we'll go in the morning."
luke "werewolf healing, remember?"
luke "this is nothing a few hours of beauty sleep can't fix."

luke "all right, cards are on my desk. it shouldn't take long."
me "then why did i have to wake up."
they all ignored me.

jace "all right."
he started walking towards the door for luke to stop him.
luke "whoa, whoa, whoa."
luke "it'll be easier to avoid unnecessary attention if i do this alone."
