Beep.
Beep.
Beep.
May's eyes opened. She saw trees hovering over her. She heard beeping in her right ear.
As she started to sit up she felt a pain in her hand. She looked down and saw a metal plate sticking out of her palm. She screamed. She sat up, being careful of her hand, and started looking around. She saw the plane in pieces and people scattered everywhere. By what she saw, she was the only one awake. "Hello?" She cried out, her words choked her.
Around her were trees covered in snow. The ground was white too, but has red splattered everywhere. Plane pieces were scattered everywhere, some buried in snow.
May stood up and started walking around. The first person she saw had a stick threw her stomach and had scratches lining her face, she wasn't breathing. May started to feel the tears role down her face. She walked over to the largest part of the plane and looked in side. She saw an arm and a body, but they weren't attached. As she wiped the tears from her face she heard a scream. "Help me! Somebody help me! My leg!" The voice cried out.
May ran over to the voice to find a woman holding her thigh, the only part of her leg she could hang onto. The other part of her leg was stuck under a large piece of plane. "It's stuck! Get it out! Please!"
"I don't know what to do! I'm not a doctor!" May snapped.
"Cut it off! Anything to stop this pain!" At her words, the woman's leg twitched, squirting blood everywhere.
"What the hell do you want me to cut it with?!" May yelled.
"Find something!"
May looked for something sharp. She found a large piece of window and took it over to the woman. "Here, close your eyes." May said.
May took her long, purple hair and put it up in a ponytail. She cleaned the edge of the window with snow and placed it on the cut on the woman's leg. May winced as she heard the bone of the woman's leg snap.
Crack!
"Cut the rest of it off!" The woman screamed.
"Hold on! You have a hard fricking leg!" May yelled back. She cut the rest of the skin and found an old shirt to wrap around the cut. "There," May said. Tears were rolling down her cheeks. The woman reached out and pulled May into a hug.
"My leg doesn't hurt as bad," The woman said, "thank you."
"Your welcome. Do you think you'll be ok? I'm gonna go try to call for help." May asked.
"Yep, I'll be fine." The woman replied.

At the main crash sight, May found the captain dead. She looked atound to see if anyone else was awake, or at least alive. She found a couple breathing but no one was awake. As she dug in the snow for something that resembles a phone, she doesn't know anything about planes, she found a cellphone. She tried turning it on, but the snow killed it. She got up and started searching for an more phones or radios, or anything for that matter.
May walked past some many people. She even saw the five year old girl who cried during the crash. May squatted down next to her body. "I'm sorry this happened," May whispered. Her hand went down and touched the bloody forehead.
"Uh... uh..." the little girl moved. She started coughing.
"Hey! Hey! You're alive!" May cried. "You're-- alive!"
"Mommy!" The little girl cried. She started to open her eyes. Tears filled her eyes quickly as she sat up. "Mommy?" She sobbed through tears.
As May started to cry the little girl became worried. "Don't worry, sweetie!" May said through the tears, "Your mom is going to be okay. Do you wanna get up and try to find her."
The little girl nodded. She stood up and looked around. "There." She pointed to the woman who just made May cut her leg off. May gasped.
"Her?" May asked. The girl nodded.

The trees were tall. They looked like they touched the Heavens. As May and the girl approached the woman, the woman cried out, "Evelyn!"
"Mommy!" Evelyn returned. Evelyn ran over to the woman and hugged her tight. This one little moment of joy brought tears to May's eyes.
"Anything about help?" Evelyn's mother asked.
"No, all the phones I found were dead," May replied.
"Do you want me to go find some food?" May offered.
"That'd be great!" Evelyn's mom said.

All May could find was three bags of peanut MnMs, two packs of Oreos, four bags of sour cream and onion chips, and two water bottles. Not much, but enough to last them a few days. Hopefully they wouldn't be out here that long.
When she got back to Evelyn and her mom she noticed Evelyn had a blanket around her. "Where did you get that?" May asked.
"I got it from over there." She pointed to an old suitcase.

Later that night, May woke to the sound of sleigh bells. She sat up and looked around. She didn't see sleigh bells.
Suddenly, a large sleigh came crashing through the trees and woke Evelyn and her mom. "Hello!" The man on the sleigh said, "Are you the survivors?"
"Yes, this is Evelyn and..." Evelyn's mom stared.
"May," May through in.
"And I'm Carissa." Evelyn's mom finished.
"Hi! I'm Andrew and I saw your plane crash. Sorry it took so long for me to get here," the man said, "my snowmobile broke and I had to borrow my cousin Larry's Santa Sleigh."
"That's ok! You're here now!" Carissa said.
"Yep! Do you k ow if anyone else is alive?" Andrew asked.
"No," Carissa said, "but we can check."
+
After walking around shaking people, they found nine more survivors. "Alright, I'll get you guys to town and the other police will search this area tomorrow." Andrew said.

When they got to town, May and the others were rushed to the hospital.
"Okay, your name, birthday, and parent's information please." May's nurse said as she grabbed a form and a pen.
"May Parks. May second, nineteen ninty-seven. Robert and Marie Parks. Phone numbers are 570-234-5768, 570-847-3132, 570-863-7070." May said as the nurse quickly copied down all the information.
"Thank you, the doctor will be in in five minutes to look at that hand!" The nurse said and waddled out of the room.

After the doctor was down the door opened again. May's mother walked in. "May!" She cried.
"Mom!" May returned.
