Adam died that day. With all the emotional and mental pain, he couldn't take it any longer.

His mum found his note and she wept over him. The ambulance tried to save him but they were too late.

Adam's funeral was held shortly after. Leon and Lola stopped being friends. Lola was devastated at the idea that she had caused his death. Sean was too. Sean and Carla broke up afterwards. Carla's parting words were 'I don't know who you are anymore'. Following an investigation, messages were reported via Facebook that the night of Adam's death, he had been 'spammed' with over 300 messages from students at his school, calling him names and wishing him dead. All students were punished severely for the bullying but none worse than Sean. Adam's diary told of what Sean had said when handing over the razor blade and Sean was expelled. Further investigations continue as Sean is dealt with by the Police for severe charges.

Jay was torn. He was broken that he couldn't have saved his friend. Following the death and funeral of Adam, Jay broke friendships with all four of his group members and he left the school. He was charged with vandalism as the night before he left to go to a new school, he painted over the school's corridors 'you killed him'. The charges were dropped due to his obvious grief.

Adam's mother left Steve and reported the abuse to the authorities. Steve was arrested.

The school became a much better place after the death of Adam. It had been a wake up call and the school tried to understand more than just the education of their students. There was counselor sessions and group sessions where students could talk about their stories. Bullying was stamped out and people could finally talk about their own problems. After the first brave soul admitted self harming, much more followed. They were all helped with comfort and reassurance.

Although Adam had died... People never forgot him. He would always be alive in people's memories.

"Hey buddy," I crouched next to his grave, laying the bunch of red flowers on the grass. "I miss you. It's been so long. Five years now. I have a girlfriend. Imogen. She's gorgeous and I know you would have got on with her. Oh, and my school's cool. The English courses are amazing and the art courses are brill. It's just a shame that you couldn't be there...

"But you'll always be my friend. You know that right? Always, Adam. No matter what."

It had been five years. But Jay visited Adam's grave once every week, never forgetting his brother. Jay meant it when he said 'always'. He had never missed a visit yet. And nor would he ever.
