The next day, I got to school and felt like everyone was staring at me. Talking about me. Whispering behind my back. Okay so I had a bruised cheekbone and a split lip but was that why they were talking about me?
I brushed past a group of boys that I recognized from the football team. They shouted at me in anger.
"Watch where you're going, you frickin' emo!" One of them shouted.
Emo. That word hit me like a bullet.
"Well don't cry about it! Why don't you cut yourself some more?" Another shouted.
I tried ignoring them and walked to my tutor room. I was shaking and could barely walk. Sean was there. It clicked like two jigsaw pieces snapping into place.
"You fucking prick!" I shouted. I pushed him by his shoulders. Sean didn't look startled at all. There was a menace in his eyes that had never been there before.
"Yeah? I'm the prick?! You had sex with my sister! You're disgusting, man! She only just turned sixteen! Fucking pedophile!" I stared at Sean.
"She's of age! Plus SHE came onto ME. I just said yes."
"Well you shouldn't have done, bastard. But that reminds me. It was your birthday yesterday." Sean reached into his backpack and took out an envelope. I didn't want to trust him but really, what could a teenage boy like Sean do to me?
I opened the envelope. Inside was a scalpel. The sort you get in science labs.
"Do us all a favour. Go kill yourself." He walked away and I was left with the razor.
//AN: It honestly was awful writing this part. I loved writing about how amazing Sean was at first but now it seems that he was just a bully. Calling self harmers 'emos' isn't just bullying, it's cruel.
What Sean just did is awful. With every chapter, it's getting harder to write. Not just because of how painful it is to imagine someone go through this but also because that it's a story which unfortunately is true. The razor blade in the envelope is something that happened to one of the students in my school. It's so terrible... Because it's true.
