Warnings: maybe slight insecurity but,, theyre cute

"My love?" Roman spoke softly and Logan could feel his boyfriend's hand press against his back.

He hummed quietly, having been fairly close to drifting off before Roman had spoken up. He couldn't bring himself to feel upset by the disturbance, not when Roman was using that soft tone of voice that always had him melting just a little bit.

"You know I love you, right?" He asked, his hand rubbing slow circles into Logan's back, a gentle touch that would have easily put him to sleep if he would have allowed it.

"Of course I do. You show me all the time." He said, shifting and rolling over to face his boyfriend. "And I hope you are aware that I love you too."

Roman caught his hand, pressing a light kiss to the back of it and making warmth bloom in Logan's chest. A smile was tugging at his lips and, seeing as there was no real reason to hide it when it was just the two of them, he let the corners of his mouth twitch upwards.

"I know." He said, face melting into a smile so soft that Logan's very core ached with fondness. No one could fault him for shuffling closer and kissing that smile.

"Why are you asking?" He wondered, allowing their fingers to entwine, relaxing back against the many soft pillows of Roman's bed.

"Just wanted to make sure. I know we don't always express love in the same ways, I want to be utterly clear with my feelings for you." Roman said, bringing Logan's hand up to his lips again, kissing his knuckles.

Roman had been his boyfriend for more than five months at this point and Logan wondered how he could doubt that he was receiving Roman's feelings loud and clear when actions such as that one kept stealing his breath even after all that time.

Well, maybe five months wasn't that much time, but it was longer than Logan would have assumed he would manage to stay in a romantic relationship, and he would have also assumed he wouldn't have been so affected by Roman's actions.

"You are being crystal clear, I promise." He murmured.

"I'd be much more worried about my ability to express how I feel. I am hardly known for my competence when it comes to feelings, especially the ones of this kind." He added and Roman frowned.

"Hey, no-" He began, being cut off by Logan who kept talking.

"It's hard to misunderstand the intent behind a bouquet of flowers or a picnic date with heart shaped food or the constant offer to fall asleep wrapped up in another side's arms." Logan stated. Roman's displays of affection were bold and obvious, hard to miss even for someone like Logan.

"Well, yeah, to me it's a clear show of my love for you when I do overly romantic things like that. I like grand gestures of love. I just mean... it's not really your thing, is it? And you're the one I love, so I've just been thinking lately that maybe I'm not showing it in the right ways." Roman explained, lowering his gaze, both his hands coming up to play with Logan's fingers.

"Oh, that is- that is very considerate of you, but there is no need to worry. Sure, coming downstairs on valentines day to see that you have put vases of blue roses all over the mindscape is maybe a bit much, but even then I appreciate the gesture." He said, smiling at the memory.

It had been only about three weeks into their relationship and at that point he had still been very... nervous about their relationship and flowers and chocolate and a big romantic date had been slightly frightening.

"But I would not want you to change. And don't think that those big gestures are the only ones I notice. Whenever I have had a late night you always bring me coffee in the mornings, exactly how I like it. And you listen to me ramble about things you have no interest in. And sometimes, don't think I haven't noticed, you bring my clean laundry upstairs and fold them before putting them away in my drawers." Logan said.
