Warnings: roman is sad and insecure boi. Logan wont have it that way tho

Hurt/comfort

--

When Logan walked downstairs at two in the morning he didn't think he was going to run into anyone, his boyfriends having gone to bed hours ago. No, he was just going to grab a glass of water and get the blanket he'd forgotten downstairs after they'd watched a movie after dinner, and then he was going to go to bed and his boyfriends wouldn't have to know he had stayed up working this late.

But after finding his blanket and pulling it around himself he stepped into the kitchen and found one of his boyfriends lying curled up on the floor. Logan paused, looking at him and taking a moment to figure out why he was lying there and if anything had happened or if he was just being his dramatic self.

"Roman?" He said softly, not wanting to startle him but he had to make sure he was alright. Roman rolled over onto his back with a frown, looking like he was inconvenienced by Logan's presence.

"I'm fine, Lo, go back to bed." He said, and Logan had to say that Roman wasn't being very convincing.

"You're just as convincing as Virgil when I find him lying on the floor in the middle of the night. And I haven't gone to bed yet." He knelt next to him, putting a hand on Roman's chest. Roman stared up at the ceiling.

"You should go to bed then, or Patton will scold you tomorrow for not taking care of yourself." Roman said, which Logan found to be quite hypocritical of him to say when lying on the kitchen floor at two in the morning.

"I think the same goes for you, Roman. And I have to ask, do you really think I could possibly leave you here when there is clearly something bothering you? I care too much for you." Logan said.

"Logan, I'm fine." He snapped, considerably louder than they'd previously been speaking but at the very least Logan didn't think there was any chance they'd woken the others up. Logan gave him a look of disbelief, because his statement was clearly not truthful to what he was actually feeling, but he didn't bother saying anything else in case Roman would begin arguing. He pulled his hand back, but Roman quickly reached out for his wrist and sat up.

"Wait, sorry... don't leave." He mumbled and the look on his face made Logan still.

"I've got no intention to leave your side. But I do not know how to help you since you won't talk. May I offer you a hug, though?" He said, and after a quick moment of hesitation Roman pulled him closer into a tight hug that left Logan a little breathless.

"Okay." He said coughing which thankfully made Roman loosen his grip a little, and Logan put his arms around him and held him close for what must've been at least four minutes, not speaking and not moving, just letting Roman draw whatever comfort he so clearly needed from him.

Then Roman eventually withdrew himself, making an attempt to lie back down on the floor but Logan grabbed a hold of him and kept him up.

"If you need to lie somewhere then perhaps we could go to bed instead, you're more than welcome in my room." Logan pulled a little at him and Roman huffed, pouting a little as if Logan was being terribly difficult by stopping him from wallowing in sadness on the floor. Sometimes Roman acted a lot like Virgil, even if Virgil would absolutely deny being anywhere as dramatic as Roman.

"Fine, that's not a horrible idea, I guess." Roman said, and Logan stood up, helping his boyfriend up too. Logan made sure he still had his blanket, then quickly grabbing that glass of water he'd came into the kitchen for in the first place, before he and Roman made it up the stairs to his room.
