Ugh, that sounds. You know the one—the alarm clock ripping me out of dreams and slamming me into another school year. It's like the universe saying, "Vacation is done; time to face reality."
Just five more seconds in bed...
one...two...three...four...five
As soon as I hit five, I groggily reach for the alarm clock on my side table and shut it off. Rolling to the other side of my bed, I bury my face in the pillow, wishing for few more precious moments of sleep.
"Tinatamad ako" unang reklamo ko
But I don't have a choice; first day ng class ko ngayon. Being late isn't on my checklist. So when my stomach growled, I tossed off my comforter and swung my legs over the side of the bed
I'm currently Grade 10 student
I walked out of my room, and as soon as I entered the kitchen, bam! the smell of Bacon and fried rice hit me like a delicious truck.
I couldn't help but smile when I saw Manang Bobby, ang Mayordoma samin. Bago pa ako pinanganak nandito na siya nakatira at nagtatrabaho.
"Good Morning po, Manang" masiglang bati ko sa kanya habang hinihila ang upuan na uupuan ko
"Magandang umaga din sayo, Hija" bati sa'kin ni Manang at nilagyan ng tubig ang baso na nasa tabi ko.
"Hija, ano pala oras ang uwi mo?"
"11:00 am po, uwian ko kasi half day lang muna kami hanggang friday. Tapos next week na po 'yung regular class," palinawag ko sa kanya, agad siyang tumango bilang pagsang-ayon
"Ah, ganon ba? Edi dito ka mag tatanghalian?"
"Opo"
"Buti, dahil diyan mas sasarapan ko ang tanghalian," ani ni Manang, na nagpatawa sa akin
"Aasahan ko po 'yan!" Masigla kong sinabi, habang tumatagal ang ngiti sa aking mga labi.
"Enjoy mo yung klase mo ah," sabi ni Manang sa akin.
"Opo, Manang," nakangiting sagot ko sa kanya
"Ah, sige, iiwan muna kita dyan dahil may aasikasuhin pa ako doon," paalam niya sa akin
"Okay po, thank you po sa pagluto ng breakfast ko," malambing kong sambit kay Manang.
"Ay ikaw pa," sabay ngiti niya sa akin bago siya umalis
Iba talaga si Manang, iba siya mag alaga.
After chowing down my breakfast, I went straight to my room to take a bath. Once I was done, I threw on my uniform before blow drying my hair and getting myself ready.
Before I left the house, I made sure to shoot a quick message to my best friend, Daphne. We're not just schoolmates; we're hoping against hope to land in the same section this year. Fingers crossed!
