"Hello Y/n," A scary sounding voice greeted me. Glancing around my new surroundings, I wasn't oblivious to the danger. Red tangled vines went up tall columns, a piglike being standing off to one corner, and in the center-back of the room there sat, the Egg.
"You can talk?" I first inquired.
"Yes," The creature said, "But I'm not technically speaking, just telepathically communicating."
Going straight to the point, I interrupted, "So Egg, why are you doing this to Drista?"
The being chuckled, "First of all, you may call me Ned," I nearly burst out laughing at that, "Second of all, I am not one of the Creators. Just another being meant to control this little section of time," Ned paused for a moment, "I suppose you wish to know why you have been brought here?"
Calculating what words to say carefully, I replied, "Yes, I would very much like to know that."
"I know a bit about the creators myself," The Egg pointed with one of its vines to a book, "As you may know, the Creators magically update this lectern with prophecies, rules, and many other things in that book every hundred years or so. However, this time's update was different."
"How so?" I questioned it.
The Egg shifted on its throne, "Half of the book is missing."
"Your point?" I repeated.
Ned sighed, "Where half of the book should be, there is a transcript of an ancient language even I don't know," Once again Ned shifted on his seat, "How your little god friends didn't notice, I'm amazed."
I had one final question, "But if you're not a God or a Creator, what are you?" The creature froze in front of me.
"Since we've gone this far I might as well tell you an expert of my life," It said.
"No no!" I interrupted, "That's fine you don't need to-"
"It won't take long!" Ned interjected, finally starting the ramble of a lifetime.
