Making a happy chapter :)

"Would you like to go for a picnic?" XD suggested, and I couldn't help but agree. It had been so long since we'd been drama-free, and a break would be absolutely amazing.

"Sounds great! Maybe we could go off to the jungle for our picnic? There are a ton of pretty birds there," I smiled, '' I'd always wanted a pet as a kid. Sadly, there was never an opportunity for one. I'd had horses, but somehow they just weren't quite the same as a dog or cat. You couldn't take them everywhere, and sure I loved Holly, but it could be lonely when she was all the way in the fields and XD was busy.

A small part of my mind hoped to find an ocelot in the jungle, and so while we were packing I "happened" to bring up the subject. Me and DreamXD decided that we didn't want any children, so pets seemed like the next best option.

"What would you think about a pet cat, or ocelot?" I asked my husband, and he paused mid-way through making the ham sandwich.

"I don't know Y/n, I mean, it would just be so much work," Ever since he'd lost his immortality and become a "mere mortal" XD wasn't able to cope with normal things. Everything was either too much work, or too traumatizing. To be honest, this behavior was getting a little annoying.

"Um, okay," Seemed to fit the situation, and I kept quiet. There was always tomorrow after all, and this server had infinite lives, thus the name "Forever Smp." I grabbed the picnic basket and put the sandwiches and snacks inside. I whistled and Holly came bounding over, excited to help her owner.

Gently, I adjusted her saddle and reigned before tying the wicker container to her side, the picnic blanket at her other. Then I recalled DreamXD didn't have a horse of his own and sighed; once again he thought that it was too much work. Pets were worth it though, especially with something like a horse, they were not only loving, but useful. Something practical was much needed out here. Here in Forever we no longer lived in a massive palace, we had to make due with much less. After all, you would think XD had learned to care for himself and learn how to craft things, but still he struggled with the most basic of tasks.

"XD!" I shouted, "Holly can't carry both of us, what are you supposed to ride on?"

His only response was silence, and that meant he had no idea. Exasperated and dying to just have some romantic alone-time with him, I went to the barn. An old donkey was inside, and I'd found him a few days prior. While old, he was strong and sturdy, though very slow. Deciding there wasn't much of a choice, I placed a simple leather saddle onto him, gave the donkey a treat, and led the loyal animal to the front of the horse. When my husband came out, a look of confusion went over his face, but willingly got onto the steed. It wasn't fast going, but eventually we got to a picnic area in the middle of the woods.

The two of us ate the tea-sandwiches constantly, and watched as parrots of all different colors circled us. A particularly beautiful parrot with and injured wing approached me, and I tore off a bit of bread from my sandwich for my new feathered friend to eat.

Instantly, the two of us bonded, and I gave a begging face to XD. He only sighed and mumbled, "Fine... I guess we can keep it."

I gave a little clap of joy, and chose the name "Daffodil" for my new pet. She had a light gray belly, white strips on her wings, and a dark gray back. Daffodil had a gorgeous yellow head and orange cheeks, two large yellow feathers also stuck up from her head.

"Shall we go home?" I asked him, and I began to make a temporary wing-patch on my parrots wing so it would be stabilized on our way home.

DreamXD rolled his eyes playfully, and said, "Let's go home."
