"Y/n!" DreamXD came out from behind some bushes and we easily fended off the mobs. It wasn't quite as dramatic as you'd think, and there was mostly a lot of laughing about how much trouble I'd once again gotten into.
The two of us headed back to the cabin, smiles plastered on both of our faces. Between us, we had gotten a decent thirteen people to join Night Smp, and they were all going to be coming soon. There was certainly much to prepare, and the permanent death of Techno had been really hard on the both of us. The only explanation we had even gotten about Technoblade was that his code had been deleted or some real depressing crap, but we had to put that behind us and think about the better... the future.
"Do you want something to drink?" I asked my past lover, and he nodded his head, "I'll just take a water, thanks," Things were still awkward between us, and I really hated that. I wanted the invisible ice wall between us to break away again, and for things to get better, for how they used to be. I poured him a glass of water and got myself an iced tea with ice cubes, then grabbed the drinks and settled down with him on the couch.
"Thanks," XD took a sip of the water, then he paused and looked at me. There was a silence between us for a moment, then he took a deep breath and asked, "Do you ever think about..." More silence, "Us?"
There was yet another long, awkward pause for I spoke up, "Sometimes."
"Will you come with me for a walk?" He burst out saying all of a sudden. He gave me a hopeful face, and although I truly didn't want to go, I couldn't resist him. I gave DreamXD a small grin and he stood up from the couch next to me, and like a gentleman helped me up. It was so sweet and cheesy all at the same time, but it gave me butterflies. It's like he couldn't cringe no matter what he did. Perhaps we could reconnect someday.
"I found a very beautiful place," He said as walked down a random dirt path through a field with dead grass. It was a bit eerie, I had to admit that. However, the further we walked, the better I saw a small meadow in the distance. It was speckled with delicate-looking flowers of all colors, and if I had learned anything from the time I spent in Afterlife Smp, it was that I absolutely adored flowers.
