A few minutes later, we reached the place for the celebration. And Carlos was still on my side.

"Here it is. Look how people were so stupid to prepare for this holi-" he said as I cut him off.

"Stupid? Because of the holiday, we finally have time to celebrate and rest for a while," I said as I slightly slapped his arm.

"Yeah, after all, I can spend more time with you because of this," he replied as he smirked.

"You mean, spend more time with your family besides me," I said as I looked at him. It's not like I don't want to hang out with him, but I just want him to also have a good bond with his family.

"Right, spending time with will be a future member of my family," he said as he put his index finger with his thumb on my chin. That made me look up at him, and that made us both have eye contact. Here he is again, and I just moved away from him.

"Speaking of family, don't your relatives know where you are?" I asked.

"Hmm, no. I just left them behind without saying that I would be going with you," he answered.

"Jeez, really? They might need you too. As a family, celebrating together."

"I bet they are fine without me," he scoffed as he chuckled.

"You're still part of them. But, anyway, the celebration hasn't started yet," I said.

"According to that big clock on that building in this town, the celebration will get started for a few minutes," he replied as he looked up at that one building.

"Wow, okay then," I said. While we're still standing here. I felt someone walking behind me.

"Hello there, (nickname)!" she greeted, as she surprised me. Yeah, that voice was Cristina. We literally saw each other again!

"Oh my, you're there," I said as I laughed.

"(Nickname)? So, that's how you call her, huh? Thanks for giving me an idea. I might call her that too," he stated as he chuckled.

"No," I replied.

"Is there any problem with that, (nickname)?" he said as he teased me. But I only want my best friend to call me that.

"Ugh, never mind. Oh, I forgot, did both of you know each other already or not?" I asked. They just look at each other. It seems like there's some tension between them. As far as I know, Cristina never told me that Carlos knew her or met her.

"Hello? I think it's a no. Then, Carlos, this is Cristina, my best friend. And Cristina, this is Carlos, my friend also. Yep, you know him. He's from La Familia Madrigal," I said as I looked at Cristina.

"Haha, yeah yeah. It's nice to meet you, Carlos," she said as she extended her hand for a handshake. She looks like she's forced a smile, though, maybe not really.

"Likewise," he replied as he shook her hand.

"Great! You know each other now. Come here. I'm going to show you something," I said as I held Cristina's hand.

"Hold on there, Carlos! We'll be back," I shouted as we went to another place that was not too far from here. And he nodded. So, we continue to walk.

"Look, I took a picture of this last month. I brought my camera though, so at the right time. I accidentally clicked it, and this is the result," I informed as I got something from my pocket. Yes, I have a pocket on my skirt, but people can't see it.

"Wha- what is that? Why- does his face look- like that?" she said as she laughed at every word.

"I know, poor kid. His friend pushed him, and then he became like that," I replied as I chuckled.
