"Ah, about that. I've been thinking that they still have feelings for each other. That's why," I said. "What if they can still be together?" I added, and she just chuckled.

"Ay, Carlos. Don't be too insecure. So what if they feel the same way? Let them be. Your brother is already married, though. He can't be with her," she reassured.

"I believe (Y/N) has already moved on from him. If you really want to feel the love you deserve from her, believe in her and even yourself that you will be together. Because even in the relationship you have now, I bet the dream you've been waiting for will come true," she added.

"Just believe, and don't give up." She seems to have the right point. I shouldn't be jealous or insecure about them. If I truly love her, I should put my trust in her decision. Yeah, and I shouldn't give up if it takes a little longer to win her heart.

"I understand now that she is your best friend. You give good advice and are a positive person. I may always be wrong, but I appreciate the words you shared with me," I said.

"Oh my, oh my, you're admitting it." She chuckled. "It's not a problem! Good luck to both of you," she added, and I smiled.

"Yeah," I said as I got one of the snacks that she placed here. "Oh, may I ask something?" I asked.

"Sure, what is it?" she asked.

"What kind of man does she like or her type? I need to know more," I answered.

"Ahh, I don't know what that is for, but okay, I'll tell you. Maybe you should tell me later the reason." She chuckled.

~ The Next Day ~

I'm in my room, the last time that I will practice and get ready to court (Y/N).

I've been practicing for a few months now. Yeah, I'll sing a love song while playing my guitar for her...

a song that comes to mind every time I think of her.

I'm kind of nervous, but I'm hoping it goes well.

Someone knocked on the door as I finished what I was practicing, so I stood up and opened it. Papí, mamí, and Dolores were the ones who appeared when I opened the door.

"Why?" I asked.

"Let us in first, hijo." Papí chuckled, and I just let them in.

"So, will you court (Y/N) today, huh?" Papí chuckled as he nudged my arm.

"How did you know?" I asked.

"Dolores told us about it, but don't worry, we didn't tell the whole family about it. It might impact you," mamí reassured.

"Yes, I hope we didn't bother you that much. We're hoping you have good luck." Dolores chuckled.

"Yeah, haha, thanks to you all." It felt like the first time I received this kind of attention. I've received it once when I received my gift, but most people weren't interested in me.

"I'm proud of our hijo. He's now really grown up," mamí said as she held papí's hand, and papí agreed.

"Do you want some guidance as you go there, hermano?" Dolores asked.

"No, thanks. I can do it by myself," I answered.

"Okay then, we will leave now. You can ask us for help anytime!" she exclaimed as they left my room.
