Chapter 9

After 30 minutes the three of us are done encoding our works and I am heading to he printer to print thing out. It absolutely took me 30 minutes more to print it all because the pages is quite a lot and after printing it we arranged the papers and I gave one copy to Athena for the sales head and other is mine for Sir Simon.

All done? I asked Amanda and Grace.
Yes all done. Amanda answered.
All done finally. Grace also answered.
I'll bring this to the sales head. Amanda said while holding the papers up.
Yeah! I'll bring this to sir Simon also. I woul ask him if we can go home already. I really need go already. I said.
Why? Grace asked me.
I still need to work at the resto bar. I answered.
You work at a resto bar? She asked in disbelief.
I work there as a singer. I answered her.
Oh! All I thought your... She said and before she could say the word I cutt her off.
I will not do works like that. I answered her and Grace nodded and smiled at me.
All I thought your work is 10pm. Its still 7:30. Athena said.
I need to be there early because I will train the new singer your brother hired. I said to Amanda while grace looked confused. Amanda's older brother is the owner of the resto bar where I work. I said to grace.
Oh! Why do you need to work there, this company gives a better salary? She asked me.
I already resigned but as my contract says, I still need to work for a week before I could completely leave my work. I said to her and she just nodded.
Both of you should get going. I badly wanted to go home and rest. Grace said to us
Mee too. Amanda also said and we both proceeded to where we are going.

I went directly straight to sir Simon's office and knocked 3 times before opening it.

Good evening po sir. I greeted him.
Come inside and have a seat. He said and I went inside and took a seat in the chair infront of his desk.
Here are the papers from our department sir. Its already complete. I said while I handed him the papers.
Does the sales head had a copy of this already? He asked as he took the papers from my hand.
Yes sir. Amanda is giving it to her at this moment. I said to him.
Okay then good job to the three of you. He said and smiled at me.
Sir? Can we go home already? I really need to go. I asked and said to him.
Why? Something happened? He asked me. Looks like he is concerned with me.
Nothing happened sir, I just need to be at the resto bar by 8pm. I said to him.
Why? Your work is 10pm right? He asked me.
Yes sir it was but Amanda's brother, the owner of the resto bar already found someone to replace me and I am going to train and guide him/her later. I said to him.
Oh! Okay you can go home and so with your companions since all of you are done with your works. He said to me.
Thank you sir. I thanked and smile at him and he smiled back.
You may go now. Ihahatid na lang kita if you want. Its almost 8pm. He said to me.
No need sir. I can manage. I said.
No, I insist. He said.
If you insist sir, then its fine with me. Thank you Sir. I said and smiled at him. He is really nice to me, I hope everyone could see this side of him.
You wait for me at the parking lot, I will just fix something and give some instructions to Allysa then I will be there. He stated and smiled at me. Someday soon other people would see those smiles too. I smiled back and bowed to him before going out of his office.

When I got back to our department are, Grace and Amanda already fixed their things and ready to go home.

Are we good to go? Grace asked me.
Yeah! We are good to go and he said we did a great job. I said while nodding.
Really? He said that? That is unbelievable. Grace asked in shock.
Yes he did really say that. Seems like he had a soft side after all. I answered
I won't wonder if he said that to you. You even said he is nice. Amanda said.
He is nice to you? Grace asked.
He is and I don't know why. I amswered.
How lucky you are. Grace said.
Hindi lang naman ako yung sinabihan niya ng good job. I said.
But he wouldn't tell it to us directly. Amanda said. Lets just go home, I badly wanted to rest. Amanda added.
Mee too. Grace said.
You both can go home already. I will just pack my things and I will be heading to the resto bar already. I stated.

We said our goodbyes and they left. After that I already started packing my things and I saw the head of the sales department approaching me.

What are you doing? She asked me.
I'm packing my things po. I said to her.
Didn't you heard what sir Simon said earlier? She asked.
I heard everything he said loud and clear po. I answered her.
Then why are you packing up your things? And where are your companions? She sarcastically asked me as if I am doing something wrong. This girl is annoying.
As you can see, we are all done with our works. Amanda already gave you the hard copy and also sent you the soft copy of it and I also did the same thing with Sir Simon. I asked Sir Simon if we can go home already and he said we can since we are done with our works. I answered her.
Oh! So your department is just leaving because you are all done? How inconsiderate you all are. She stated.
Sorry Ms. Rivera but I really need to go and the boss already permitted us to leave. Excuse me. I said while looking at my watch and excused myself to leave.

As I was walking going to the parking lot, naabutan na ako ni Sir Simon.

All I thought your already in the parking lot.  He suddenly said when he reached next to me.
I did fixed my things and Ms. Rivera talked to me for awhile. I answered him as we continued walking.
Oh! What did you both talked about? He asked.
Just about work sir. I think she doesn't like me. I said.
Just don't mind her, your doing your job just fine and please call me Simon or Si if its just the two of us. He said and I nodded at him.
I know and thank you Si. I answered and smiled at him.
That sounds much better. He said and smiled back.

We arrived at the parking lot and we headed straight to his car. He opened the car door for me and turn arround to sit at the drivers seat. This man is really something and I am loving it, seeing his soft sides.
