Chapter 8: TS-19 (Part 1)
"I'll cover the back," Daryl yells out to everyone as we start entering the building. Rick and Shane go through the door first, then everyone else following behind.
"Hello?" Rick calls out. "Hello?" he asks out again, not getting a reply, only the echo of his voice from the large room.
"Keep a look at the doors," I say to Daryl and T-Dog who are standing at the doors. "Watch for walkers."
"Hello?" Rick calls out again, still not getting a reply. Then, Glenn ready's his gun, pointing it at one of the dark corridors. Rick and Shane follow after him.
"Anybody infected?" A man with blonde hair and a dirty white shirt calls out from where Shane, Rick and Glenn are aiming their guns at. The man with the blonde hair is holding a gun, too.
"One of our members from the group was," Rick says, speaking to the man. "He didn't make it."
The man with the blonde hair takes a few steps forward before talking. "Why are you here? What do you want?"
"A chance," Rick says.
"That's asking an awful lot these days."
"I know," Rick says to the man.
The man stays silent, looking around at everyone in the group.
"You'll all submit to a blood test," the man says. "That's the price of admission."
"We can do that," Rick says, nodding his head a couple of times.
The man puts the gun down before talking. "If you've got stuff to bring in, bring it in now. Once this door closes it stays closed."
Rick nods quickly before turning around and running outside again to the vehicles, everyone else in tow. T-Dog and I quickly close the doors again before going to the vehicles and getting our things.
When we get our things and bring them back in, the man uses a key scanner by the door, shutting all the doors again.

The doctor, Dr. Jenner, leads us to an elevator. We all fit inside and he presses a few buttons and the elevator starts moving down.
"Do doctors always go around packing heat like that?" Daryl asks.
"Well, there were plenty of them just laying around and I familiarized myself with them," the doctor says, then looks around at all of us. "You'll look harmless enough. Except you," he says, looking down at Carl with a smile on his face. "I'll have to keep my eye on you."
A minute or so later, the elevator stops and the Doctor leads us off and down a long hallway.
"Are we underground?" Carol asks, nervousness coating her voice.
"You claustrophobic?" the Doctor asks, turning around to look at Carol.
"A little."
"Try not to think about it," he says and then turns back around.
"Vi," the Doctor calls out. "Bring up the lights in the big room." Once he says that, lights begin to turn on in a circular form, showing computers and desks that make up a big circle too. "Welcome to zone 5," he says before walking to the desks and computers.
"Where is everybody?" Rick asks, following Doctor Jenner. "The doctors, the staff."
"I'm it," Jenner says. "It's just me here."
"What about the person you were just speaking to?" Lori questions.
"Vi?" Andrea asks.
"Vi," Jenner calls out. "Say 'hello' to our guests. Tell them, 'welcome'."
