Sky could hear the sound of battle behind her as she ran, closing her eyes she pictured Nymph and Shadowholly being ripped to shreds as Banan relished in it. Opening her eyes she leapt awkwardly to avoid tripping on a root. After half a day of walking Sky's legs were getting tired causing her to limp. Eventually her legs gave in causing her to float to the ground with a silent growl, her joints ached with the effort to stand only to leave her tired and in pain. She lay panting for seemingly lifetimes before Sky picked up the scent of wolves. Many of them, heading right towards her. Gritting her teeth she tried to drag herself out of sight although there was no cover anywhere near and she knew her black pelt would be spotted instantly, which it was, four wolves came striding up their lips drawn in snarls. Sky gasped, these wolves were huge. Almost double the size of any Emolian wolf with thick wavy fur. The lead wolf stood forward, his muscles rippling beneath his dark brown fur "Who are you and what are you doing here?" Sky opened her mouth but no sound came out "Back off Klaus can't you see she's hurt!" Growled a large dark ginger she- wolf as she shoved him out the way. "Are you ok little one? Do you need help?" Sky gulped, nodding her head. The she-wolf nodded before turning to the patrol "Right Frank help the stranger onto Klaus's back… don't you dare argue with me, Heart-Ember run back to camp and tell the boys what we found and Breeze take whisp and finish up the patrol." They all nodded with a few murmuring "yes Mag" before running off in multiple directions. Frank was a black wolf just like Sky although his fur was much longer that it tickled Sky's nose as he reached down to grab her scruff hauling her onto the crouching Klaus. Before slowly making their way up hill with Frank and the Ginger she-wolf hey had called Mag keeping to the sides so she didn't slip off. "Don't worry we'll be home soon and we can help you get better." Mag said with a soft voice.
Sky must have fallen asleep as when she awoke she found herself curled up in a moss filled dip in the sand, with another dip nearby filled with leaves and water. Overhead were interwoven branches and sticks that created a mini den, just big enough to stand up and turn around. As she stretched forward to lap up a few drops of water something shifted on her leg, turning around she saw someone had tied strange leaves to her back legs with long grass strands. "Oh you're awake." Sky jumped at the sound hissing as pain spiked up her legs. "Sorry I didn't mean to scare you." Sky looked at the She-wolf as she wove around her to fix the leaves on her leg. She was a beautiful grey with black paws and muzzle, catching her eyes. Sky was mesmerised by her deep blue eyes, they reminded her of the river, so calm and peaceful. "My name's Magic-crescent, what's yours?" "Sky" Magic-crescent gasped "as in Queen Sky?" Uh oh she thought as she gave a tiny nod. "Don't look so scared. We've heard the stories but we really don't care about politics, we will help any creature if they need us. No judgement. Come let me introduce you to the others." Before Sky could protest Magic-crescent nudged her up towards the entrance once outside she let out an amazed howl, her den was at the edge of the tree line but ahead of her was a large flat sandy rock that seemed to stretch into the sky, with a loud roar coming from the edge. Taking a step forward her paws sank into the soft sand. "What is this place?" She breathed, Magic twitched her whiskers with amusement "We call it the cliffs, up the rock it levels out so you can sit and watch the sun set or rise, while far below the ocean waves crash onto the side of the rock." "Can I see?" Magic let out a small laugh "maybe when you're stronger, come and bask in the remaining light." She nudged Sky to a soft grassy area a few steps away from the den entrance while all around wolves were grooming and talking to each other while a pair of pups were fighting on the soft sand. As soon as the small red wolf spotted her and Magic she broke away and raced towards them "Magic magic is this our new patient." "Steady, Sky, this is my student Heart-Embers." "Wow a Queen I've never healed a queen before." "And you won't now! She was just leaving." A large Silver wolf towered over the young pup causing her to slither away, only Magic seemed brave enough to stand up to him although he easily towered her as well "You will not send her away! This wolf can barely walk!" The wolf let out a threatening growl "We do not align ourselves with fools who claim to be royalty." "Come on bro, we can't exactly send her to her death now can we." Said another wolf as he padded up, the two wolf's stood facing each other, they were identical in every way. Almost. The first has blue eyes as cold as ice while the other's amber eyes were filled with glee who almost seemed not to care but Sky guessed he could be just as fierce as his brother. "Come on Sal you're not going to make me look bad are you? I said she'd be safe here." Mag said, nuzzling up to the blue-eyed twin. He let out what was almost like a purr "of course not Mag." Swinging his head to glare at Sky he let out a huff "You have until the moon changes form." Then he strode off with Mag and his brother. "Who were they" she whispered as Magic laid down beside her "the blue eyed ones name is Methusalah he's the leader of the pack alongside his twin brother Matchitehew, the ginger she-wolf is his mate Maganhildi." Sky's head span with all these names Magic laughed as though she could read her thoughts "we shorten our names to help, our names are given as part of a ritual. My name has two words as I'm the pack's witch." "A witch? As in magic and stuff." "I can't make fire appear out of thin air if that's what you mean, but I use leaves and Berries to heal the sick and injured. Heart-Embers is my student as I mentioned, she's sat next to her brother Whisp…" Sky shivered as she saw the young wolf standing by his sister his head and tail help high, he reminded her too much of Banan. Sky shook her head. She knew she couldn't judge the young one just by looks. Magic continued to use her tail to point everyone out "I know you've already met our elder Frank, and our best fighter Klaus and over there is our best hunter Breeze." Breeze was a beautiful greyish blue with a snow white belly, with bright yellow eyes that seemed to shine in the half light. "And we'll, that's all of us. We recently had an elder called Willow with us who said she was from a place called the hollow oak but sadly she passed away." Sky whimpered "I knew her when I was very young. '' Magic placed her tail tip on Sky's back in silent sympathy. "I'm a week's time I'm sure you'll be back where you belong."
