Chapter 15

The three stood before the entrance of the town where Dani used to live.
"Are you feeling alright?" Felix asked .

Y/n nods.

She was NOT okay.

She felt scared, she doesn't want to do this! She wants to go home and cry in her pillow and just sleep for a long time.

She felt Felix held her shoulder from behind. Y/n looked up at the man, and waited for some encouraging speech, something that would have her walk through those gates.

But all he did was smile. A small, sad, pitiful smile.

". . . "

Y/n looked beyond the gates. She stared back at the ground. She sighed and untied her hair and walked over to the casket. She gently sets the ribbon onto the casket, returning it the original owner.

Her lips formed a soft smile and pats the casket a little.

People aren't perfect. Y/n is no exception.

"Why didn't you personally go and deliver the body?. . . "
Claude wanted and answer and wanted one now.

But Y/n was just keeping her head down. Not in shame, she was just too tired to argue with Claude. She doesn't want to explain. She's too scared of what Claude might say. Or do.

Claude frowns from not getting an answer and stands from his seat to get closer to Y/n.

Y/n moves a little more away from where Claude was.

"My patience for you is wearing thin young lady. Speak. 𝙉𝙤𝙬."
Claude was not playing. He did not feel like playing a little riddle game to try and figure out why she was acting the way she was.

He just wanted an answer. All she needs to do is answer him.

But she didn't.

Claude sent her back to her room. She is to stay in her palace for 3 days for punishment. To think of her mistake.

And oh did she think of it. She thought of it so hard that she stayed in her palace for a few more days.

Athanasia huffed as she stood at Y/n's door.
"Umm, princess. I don't think lady Rivia wants to be distributed at this moment"
Lily said worridly.
"But if she's sad then I'll make her happy!" Athanasia said as she lifted her arms up to show that she really wanted to get through the door.

Lily didn't want to make Lady Rivia even more upset. Sarina had told Lily about the soft crying she hears from
Y/n's room. Maybe Y/n needed space, but then again, she was still a child. And children need to be comforted.

Lily knocked on the door three times. Loud enough for Y/n to hear.
"My Lady. It's me Lily-"

"And Athy too!" Athanasia spoke.

They waited a few more seconds, that's when Y/n cracked the door open. She instantly looked at Athanasia who smiled brightly at her.
