Chapter 26
Unedited

Sunday morning, I woke up to the sound of the phone ringing; Nancy groaned, leaned over, and picked it up. "Nadir residence." she barely managed to get out "who is it?" I turned around and bent over Mr. Pie. "Your boyfriend." I picked my head up so fast I heard my neck pop "what?" she handed me the phone before falling back onto the pillow "your boyfriend," she said again. "Hello?" I placed the phone in my ear. "Boyfriend, I love the sound of that?" Billy's voice resonated from the other end of the line.
"Not yet, your not." I dropped my head in exhaustion, and I could hear him chuckle softly, "Yet." He said, "anyways, meet me outside your house in an hour, okay." "Wait, Bill-" but he already hung up, giving me no choice; I could call him back, but the chances of him agree not to meet up today were slim.

By 10, Nancy and I were dressed, and when we could hear Billy's car from an entire block away, we went outside.

Billy parked in my driveway before getting out and walking over to Nancy and me. "Good Morning." I said, and Nancy smiled at him; to my surprise, he returned one as well "it is now." he pecked my lips and took my hand in his. "Alright seems like you guys have everything handled, so that I will leave you to it." Nancy slowly backed away, getting into her car "let me know how Johns's Interview goes!" I yelled out behind her, and she gave me a thumbs up. As Nancy's car disappeared down the road, I looked over at Billy.

"Why are you bothering me on the weekend, Hargrove?" I pulled my hand away before whipping my lips. "When did I say this was a normal thing." I pointed at his lips, then mine.

He snickered before taking my hand and placing a soft kiss on it, "but I love kissing you; your lips are soft." he brushed his thumb over my lip sending shocks through my body. I cleared my throat and looked away "anyways, what's so important that I had to wake up so early.

"Let's get some breakfast."

I took a bite of my omelet while Billy sat there staring at me while occasionally sipping his coffee. "The strawberry pancakes are delicious." I motioned to the plate in front of him with untouched food. He leaned forward and pushed the plate to me "you can have them." I whipped the corners of my mouth with the napkin before leaning forward. "What's wrong, Billy?"

He frowned, looking away "nothing, it's just I feel like I lost so many months with you." I reached forward to grab his hand, but he moved it away to run it throw his hair. I tapped my fingers on the table before leaning back.

"Well, we did," I said, but that's was way too blunt; he looked away, sighing

"You can't dwell on the past, plus we have the future, right." He smiled; well, at least he tried.

"I don't ever want to lose you again. I rather die than not have you in my life." I felt the butterflies swarm to my stomach. "Well, you're not dying any time soon, so I'm not going anywhere."
