Chapter 41: "Don't worry 'Fuyu, we'll get it all done in time."

A/N: Guys im so so sorry this took FOREVER i kinda took a little break to focus on state testing so im not gonna make this long ok bye bye .

Baji and Chifuyu were currently bickering over the food they should serve at their wedding, the blond wanted to have some of everything since he loved eating all the time but the ravenette wanted to have a set menu so there wouldn't be loads of food left over. Hina and Takemichi were supposed to be helping them since Hina was the maid of honor and Takemichi was the best man because Kazutora insisted on merely being a groomsman for the younger because he, "Isn't someone you can count on for a speech." His words, not mine. "Both of you have valid points..how about doing a mini buffet?" Hina suggested, looking up from her planning book and at the two who went silent to consider her words.

The engaged couple looked at each other before nodding in agreement. "Cool, make sure you contact each of your guests to make sure they don't have any food allergies." The strawberry-blonde appointed Chifuyu for this since he was more friendly. "Got it, now we have to design invitations, reserve the wedding venue, find more groomsmen as well as ring bearers and flower kids, find decorations that go with the theme and color scheme, etcetera." The engaged blond sighed, emitting stress from every pore on his body. "Don't worry 'Fuyu, we'll get it all done in time." Baji reassured, taking his fiancé's hand in his and smiling gently at him. "Yeah, and we're both here to help you two along the way!" Takemichi chimed in, giving his friend a huge grin and a thumbs up. Chifuyu chuckled and nodded, thanking the other three people who assured him they'd be by his side through all of this.

"Who knew wedding planning was so stressful?" The blond groaned as he closed his car door and pressed the start button when his fiancé got into the passenger seat. "Takemichi and Hina, Hakkai and Mitsuya, and now us I guess." The ravenette stated and earned a, "Thanks captain obvious." from the younger when he said the last part. "Well anyway, we secured the wedding venue so that's great! We can start buying decorations over the next months we have and we should have enough when it's time." Baji continued while buckling his seatbelt. Chifuyu hummed in response before adding remembering something important.

"We need to find a bakery to do the cake!" Was what he realized and his partner seemed to forget too judging from the look on his face. "Right, I can start looking right now. There's some good bakeries in the shopping district." The ravenette suggested and the blond agreed. "We do need to establish what we want it to look like, flavors, if we want cupcakes with a small cake or a tiered cake, the main color and accent color, as well-" The older began to list but was interrupted by an aggravated Chifuyu saying, "I get it Keisuke, we'll work on that when we get home." then rubbed his eyes. Baji noticed that the blond had been squinting a lot recently and recalled the time he said he needed glasses but never got around to getting his eyes checked.

"Hey 'Fuyu," The ravenette started, gaining the blond's attention. "What is it now Keisuke?" He heaved a sigh of annoyance and stopped the car when they approached a red light. "Clear your schedule for tomorrow, we're getting your eyes checked." The older told the male who furrowed his eyebrows at this statement. "What the hell are you on about? I don't need glasses Keisuke." The younger claimed, though he knew himself that was a lie. He just didn't want to waste any time he could be spending wedding planning or working. "You've been squinting like crazy Chifuyu, I can even call up Kazutora as a witness to you needing glasses. Remember when you couldn't read the word "Starlight" the other day?" The currently reasonable male reminded the stubborn blond.

"No I don't remember that. No matter, I'm not getting glasses. They'll make me look weird." Chifuyu muttered and and made a left turn down leading to their neighborhood. The ravenette scrunched up his nose and looked at the younger completely dumbfounded. "What on Earth are you on about? No they won't! Literally nothing can make you look weird, unless you're wearing some kind of questionable extravagant costume.." The older trailed off as he imagined his fiancé wearing a hot air balloon costume, I don't know why. The blond snorted as he pulled into the driveway. "I'm still going to work tomorrow," he claimed but his partner wasn't going to simply agree to that.

"Chifuyu Matsuno, you're going to the eye doctor whether you like it or not. You need glasses and it'll just get worse over time." Baji had his lover on board the second he called him by his government name. "Fine, you got it. I'll go to the dreaded eye doctor." He grumbled and stopped the car, the ravenette allowing a satisfied smile cross his features. "Good choice, now you should get some rest. I'll handle dinner." The older kissed his fiancé on the cheek and got out of the car, gently closing the door before making his way to the door and letting himself into the house. Sighing, Chifuyu got out of the car as well and gathered his belongings before he closed the door and locked the car. When he made his way into the house and locked the door, his soon-to-be husband was sitting on the floor in front of the pantry looking at the several packages of rice they had.

"Why on Earth do we have so much rice? When did I buy all of this?" Baji asked himself as he looked at each bag. "I love rice so it's perfectly fine." The blond laughed as he walked towards his fiancé. "Hey hey, you're supposed to be relaxing babe." The older looked up and stretched his neck towards the blond before attempting to kiss his chin and missing entirely. "Wow babe, that was just sad," The younger laughed and gave his lover a kiss. "It's because my neck isn't long enough to reach you." The ravenette rolled his eyes and stood up with a bag of rice in hand and made his way to the rice cooker, placing the rice onto the counter.

"Whatever you say sir." Chifuyu laughed and went upstairs to take a nice, refreshing shower. Cracking his knuckles, the ravenette took the rice and made preparations to clean it before cooking it. His mother always told him, "Always wash your food, even if it's manufactured." and he always listened to his mother. Most of the time. Once he felt the rice was clean enough for his liking he poured it into the rice cooker and added butter and water to it. He let that cook while going to start rinsing the vegetables.

"Kei! Is the food done? It smells super good and now I'm really hungry!" Chifuyu whined from his seat in the living room. "It's almost done, I'm about to plate it now!" The older of the two responded and leaned his head back when steam erupted in his face. "Well that's nice," He deadpanned and grabbed two low-cut bowls to plate their dinner. The blond waited impatiently in the living room as he stomach continuously rumbled. "I should've eaten a cookie." He muttered and shoved his head into a pillow. "Stop complaining and come eat," His fiancé randomly appeared beside the couch and had his arms crossed over his chest with a smirk on his face. Jolting, Chifuyu lifted his head and grinned before getting up off the couch and happily making his way to the dining table.

"Yummy, you have gotta cook more often." The blond hummed and he stuffed food into his mouth. "Be careful, you might choke." Baji warned and almost as if he jinxed him, the younger male began to choke on a damn potato. "My goodness 'Fuyu! I just said be careful!" The ravenette shook his head as he went to get his choking fiancé a glass of water. "Okay but you can't blame me, the food is just that good." The blond smiled in satisfied when he stopped choking and began eating once again. Shaking his head, the older joined the comfortable silence surrounding him as they ate the food he prepared.

"You know, this is pretty good!"
