Chapter 13: Cake for Breakfast

"So, what's your favorite food?" Baji asked, trying to start up a conversation. When they'd first got into the car Chifuyu gawked at all the buttons and shit and how fancy the  car was. "Yakisoba. Literally any type of yakisoba." Chifuyu answered, getting hungry at the thought of his favorite meal. "Oh? Yakisoba's my favorite too." Baji said, adjusting his rear view mirror before setting the gear to reverse. "You for real? Man that's it, I'm marrying you. We 4lifers now." Chifuyu said jokingly. "Shii I'm down, when you tryna meet up to find a ring?" Baji joked along with the blonde, switching to 'F'.

"Oh we doing this for real for real? I'm free Monday morning." Chifuyu looked at his finger. "I think a silver one would look nice, no?" Chifuyu raised his hand up so Baji could see. The ravenette looked over at his hand for a second and and settled on saying, "I think gold would look better with a diamond on it." Chifuyu blushed but continued joking with the other male. "You tryna spend big racks on me? I'm flattered, what're our wedding colors finna be?" He asked, trying to stifle a laugh. "Cerulean and champagne." Baji said with no hesitation but almost lost his composure.

"Where you tryna get married at?" Chifuyu asked, playing with Baji's free hand. "Definitely at that venue we met at." Baji said, turning right and speeding up to match the speed limit. "Because people's weddings are s'posed to be all sentimental or something like that." Baji explained. "You seem to know what you're talking about." Chifuyu nodded. "I literally don't have a clue about what I just said." Baji laughed causing Chifuyu to burst into a fit of giggles. Turns out laughs can be contagious..or was that smiles? Nevertheless, they spent an entire three minutes laughing at what Baji had said.

"You're so fun to talk to and hang out with." Baji suddenly said. "Really? I don't hear that often, I thought I was boring or something." Chifuyu said, running a hand through his hair. "You're like, the farthest thing from boring." Baji told the blonde haired as he took another turn and Chifuyu started recognizing street signs. He frowned, not wanting their time together to end yet. "What's with the long face?" Baji asked, turning down another street. "Nothing, just didn't wanna go yet." Chifuyu told the ravenette. "We can always hang another day, or night, doesn't matter to me. It's not like I'm going anywhere any time soon." Baji said as he pulled into the driveway of Kazutora and Chifuyu's shared condo, the GPS signaling that they'd arrived.

"Alright, thanks for a great time today." Chifuyu smiled as he grabbed the plush he won and the candy floss he bought Kazutora. "I should be thanking you. Wanna watch a movie at my place Monday night?" Baji asked. "Ohh, are you trying to ask me on another date~?" Chifuyu wiggled his eyebrows. "Yes I am, don't make it weird please." Baji laughed. "Alright, Monday night works for me. You'll have to come pick me up though." Chifuyu winked and threw up a peace sign. "Got it, good night." Baji waved waved. Chifuyu unlocked the door went inside of his condo.

"And where were you young man?" Kazutora turned on the kitchen light. He was sitting at the island petting Peke J, who was on the counter, wearing a 'detective hat' he'd probably got from Hina and glasses. His vape was on the other end of the counter. "What is this, an interrogation?" Chifuyu laughed and sat across from Kazutora. "Yes this is." Kazutora confirmed. "Wait- I ask the questions here! Now where were you." Kazutora questioned. "At the amusement park??" Chifuyu answered. "That's it? Y'all didn't go out to eat or anything?" Kazutora asked. "They had places to eat at the amusement park." Chifuyu told the bi-color haired man. "Interesting..and why'd you only just get home?" Kazutora asked, writing something down on a notepad. "Because we bought 12-hour tickets." Chifuyu said, reaching out to pet Peke J. "Ah! No petting the cat." Kazutora hit Chifuyu's hand with a pen. "Why not?" The blonde frowned and rubbed his hand. "I ask the questions buddy. Now then, did you use protection?" Kazutora asked, standing as he talked. The chair slid back making a screeching sound against the floor tile.
