Chapter 3 - Political Problems

After Bong Bong's short break in New York, he has immediately come back to work in his office.

He just arrived in his headquarters when he heard Sara ranting to Martin about something.

"Hay nakuu! Pigilan mo ako, cong. Martin. Kumukulo talaga ang dugo ko sa babaeng yun." Sara said.

"Calm down, VP. Ganun talaga yun. Mahilig sa drama..."

Intrigued, Bong Bong decided to join in their conversation and asked,

"Good morning, you two! What's going on here?"

Martin looked up at him.

"Good morning, insan! May nakita lang kasi kaming article kanina - about someone criticizing you and Inday... Well, mostly Inday - for being appointed as the next DepEd secretary."

Bong Bong rubbed his chin.

"Hmm. Someone? Which one? Marami sila." He joked.

Sara replied with contempt,

"Her last name, apo BBM... Sounds like virus."

"Virus?" Bong Bong wondered. He repeated it,

"Virus... Virus... Aha! Alam ko na."

"Sino insan? Nahulaan mo na?" Martin asked.

Bong Bong chuckled as he replied,

"Yes... Si Risa Hontiveros? Am I right?"

Martin grinned as he gave Bong Bong a high-five.

"Nakuha mo, insan!"

The two men laughed.

Martin said,

"Alam niyo, I have a confession to make..."

"What's that?" Bong Bong asked.

"Risa may be a part of our opposition pero I actually find her... hot."

Without warning, Sara slapped Martin's arm. Hard.

"Ouch!" He winced and said,

"Okay... Deserve ko yun. Pero may point din naman ako diba, insan? Tell me I'm not the only one."

Sara then glared at Bong Bong. She slowly said,

"Apo, BBM... I respect you... Pero I hope you choose your next words carefully..."

Bong Bong gulped as he played with his collar. He said,

"Is it just me or parang uminit dito?"

Bong Bong pretended to look around the room until his chief-of-staff, attorney Vic Rodriguez arrived to greet them.

Next to him was Ben who used to be Bong Bong's campaign manager. Now, he's a part of his future cabinet as the next interior secretary.

"Good morning sa inyong lahat." Vic said.

"Mukhang good mood kayong lahat ah... Maliban sayo, Inday." Ben added.

Martin answered him,

"Two words - Risa. Hontiveros."

"Ahh. Kaya pala." Ben said.

"Well, ganun talaga ang buhay... All administrations will always have their own opposition no matter what." Vic reasoned.

"I agree to that." Bong Bong said.

"That's why we should just strive to do our best. Since nandito na kayo... Don't we all have a meeting to attend to?" Vic said.
