"You been hiding from me?" Lemont spoke startling Detective Merlano who had just stumbled in and turned on his kitchen light.

"How'd you get into my house?" Merlano asked in a weary tone. His heart racing out his chest.

"Some say I'm a ghost so maybe I walk through walls" Lemont chuckled devilishly with a smirk.

"What do you want Lemont, I'm busy." Merlano stated plainly.

"Oh nawll see nigga we not gone play these types of games. You can't be too busy my little friend down at the station told me you're on leave. And being at a bar isn't busy work Detective. Soo again are you hiding from me? If so that's not good for business Detective. Uht uht that's not good for business at all, neither is not paying what you owe." Lemont shook his head in sheer disapproval.

"Are you following me?" Merlano asked.

"I don't have to, some say the walls have eyes yunno. We all have our ways of finding out what we need to know. The only thing I can't seem to figure out quite right is why I haven't received my payment when you made good on the information my girl gave you." Lemont said with a frown.

"I told Terrell that things didn't go as planned I don't  necessarily have your money.. right now" Merlano spoke nervously trying to reason.

"Make me understand what was so hard about getting my 10 Bands before you logged in your evidence. I know you got a lil nice piece of change off my son. You telling me you don't got nun of my money ain't gone work." Lemont told him getting upset.

"I don't know how but Spazz or Tony whatever y'all call him found out we picked up his boys before we could even get a chance to book 'em. He's working with my captain and got me suspended. All assets seized were returned except to the two individuals who had a small amount of schedule 1 drugs on them. So we got all of about 5 bands I'd say." Merlano explained.

"Mmm.. mmm.. that nigga ain't changed. Always one step ahead, sounds like you got half of what you owe me and ima need that." Lemont informed him.

"Okay I gotta umm get it back. And like I told Terrell that's why I needed was some intel. I'm handling Spazz, I'm gonna take down his entire empire and you'll get your 10 bands." Merlano tried to convince Lemont, being that he had already kept the $5000 for himself and had started spending it.

"Uht uht run that back for me.. either you got it or you don't. What you mean get it back? And you don't worry about Spazz I got him covered just follow my lead." Lemont frowned not pleased at all with Merlano attempting to deviate from his plan.

"I mean I got $2500 here and the rest in a safe location. And I already sent a message so we're just waiting for him to crawl out of whatever hole he's hiding in—" Merlano said scratching his head with a smirk.

"You did WHAT!?" Lemont shouted as he aggressively stood up from the table.

"I.. I.. I got some connections in the facility his sister is located. She's taken care of, so now we can strike while he's most vulnerable." Merlano stuttered explaining his plan.

"You fuckin idiot! You don't know what you just did!!!" Lemont shouted shaking his head.

"Outta of everything you could've did, you choose to fuck with the most irrelevant person in all of this. You could've snatched up one of them kids or anything. The muthafucka was already vulnerable now you just tipped him off, and he's not one to put his guard up. He's a fuckin attack dog. Whatever you did you better hope she's dead cause if she's not you just signed your death certificate. That muthafucka ain't gone stop till he kills everyone involved. You're a dead man Detective. And you better hope this doesn't bleed over into my business or Spazz will be the least of your worries cause I'm gonna be sure to kill you my damn self." Lemont smiled walking closer to Merlano. Lemont had no desire to harm or even target April because she posed no real threat to him since she was in jail.
