"Body of Missing 17 year old Nasir Ratliff found in field near Interstate 95. Local police has ruled his death a homicide. They're telling us that foul play is suspected. That is all the information that has been released to us so far. This is an ongoing investigation, follow the local news as the story continues to develop. If you have any information regarding this crime please call our anonymous TIP line 1-800-CrimeStoppers. Thank you, this is Eriel Yates Channel 5 News at 6." The news reported voice blared through the TV.
"Oh my gawd! Lani c'mere baby!!" Denise shouted clutching her chest.
"Yes granny, you okay?" Melanie said outta breath as she ran down the stairs into the den.
"Yes girl, just sit down and look at this.." Granny said rewinding the TV.
Melanie's facial expressions quickly shifted as she heard the news reporter say Nasir's body was found.
"Tell me right now, that Nahjour ain't have nun to do with that boy coming up missing and dead like that... he don't need so more problems." Granny sighed worried that this would be pinned on her grandson.
"Granny what !?! Why would Nyny have did this??? Or have anything to do with this? That was his friend! I can't believe you'll think that... c'mon nah granny he even said himself he hadn't heard from Nasir since they got locked up before I even came home. And Nasir be into with a lot of people anyways I doubt this had anything to do with Nyny." Melanie said hurt her granny would even think that.
"Lani watch yo tone with me in here nah. Y'all getting besides y'all selves remember you not grown! I said what I said to get clarification so they don't try to pin this on him. Right or wrong, I ain't never throwed y'all to the wolves but I gotta know all the facts so I can protect him." Granny said.
"Okay granny" Melanie said getting up about to exit the den.
"Don't okay granny me, Lani lose ya luh attitude today ain't the day hea'?" Granny gritted sternly.
"Yea I hear ya, since I got such an attitude I'm going to Maddie house." Melanie said leaving out.
"Goodbye AND Good Riddance!" Granny called out behind Melanie.

"Look at sus walking up" Step nodded towards Melanie who was walking up on Maddie's porch as he and Vonte sat in the car outside her house.
They got out the car and crept up the porch behind her.
"Run dem pockets Li' nigga!" Vonte joked putting Melanie in a headlock. Causing Step to laugh while knocking on the door.
"Getcho muthafuckin hands off me!" Melanie elbowed him knowing exactly who it was.
"Say I won't choke you out right nah! Say I won't!" Vonte joced leaning her back.
"You play to fuckin much! Stopppp! Let me go!!" Melanie whined as Maddie opened the door.
"Not y'all cuddling on the porch!" Maddie joked being messy.
"Best make him let me go what da fuck! So y'all just gone let him put me inna chokehold" Melanie screeched tryna break free.
"Ain't nobody cuddling, c'mon bestfriend let's go inside." Vonte said releasing her, throwing his arm over her shoulder pushing past Maddie inside the house.
"Vonte you gone stop disrespecting me! I ain't Meeka or whatever her name is AND THAT AINT NUN OF YO BESTFRIEND PLEASEEEEE GET THE FUCK!" Maddie yelled walking in behind them.
"Yo meatball head spaghetti noodle neck ass always screaming guideeee damn jitt, steamy ass breath bac' yo ass up" Vonte ranted turning around bucking at Maddie making her stumble and step on Melanie's heels.
