The students at Hogwarts came alive before every Quidditch match. It wasn't any different when the fourth match of the season came around.
"I can't believe I'm doing this," Mia muttered, staring at her reflection in disbelief.
Sage covered her mouth, trying not to smile. "I think it looks good on you," she said after clearing her throat.
Sighing, Mia tilted her head to the side. "I really do like him, don't I?"
A grin appeared on her best friend's lips. "I suppose so, yeah."
"How embarrassing..." Mia grimaced. Turning around, she scoffed when her eyes fell on the embroidered letters on the back of the borrowed sweater. "Potter... How in the world did I end up here?"
"Beats me." Sage chuckled. "But I'm sure he'll be ecstatic once he sees you in this."
"Oh, he better be." Mia frowned. "I suppose you'll be rooting for the other team, though."
"I'm not rooting for anyone, actually." Sage shrugged. "Nathan isn't a Quidditch player, so I have no reason to root for Hufflepuff, and as for Gryffindor... I simply couldn't care less. I'm just going because both you and Nathan are as well."
Mia nodded slowly, her eyes still focused on the sweater. "Fair enough. Should we get going, then?"
"Yeah, let's go."
The two girls left their dorm and began making their way down the stairs. A few Ravenclaws lingered in the Common Room, most of them were about to leave in order to watch the match.
Mia noticed Eamon sitting on an armchair next to one of the windows, but he occupied himself by reading a dusty-looking book, so she didn't say hi to him. He clearly doesn't care about the match, she thought.
Once they left the Ravenclaw Tower, they were met with a bunch of yellow and red flags, scarves and banners, which were all over the corridor walls.
"GRYFFINDOR! GRYFFINDOR! GRYFFINDOR!" A group of guys chanted loudly as they passed the two girls, hurrying towards the Quidditch Pitch.
"You should join them." Sage nudged Mia, smirking.
"Stop it." Mia grimaced. "I'm embarrassed enough as it is."
"Stand tall, girl!" Sage grinned playfully. "You're dating a Potter!"
"She is, isn't she?" Mason appeared suddenly, making Mia flinch. "Seems like Potter's hard work over the years finally paid off."
"Hello, Mason," she greeted her brother half-heartedly. "Are you on your way to the pitch as well?"
"Perhaps, perhaps not..." He said mysteriously. "Are all Ravenclaws going? I mean, your house isn't playing today, so why bother, right?"
Mia let out a heavy sigh. "To answer your question, no, I don't think Eamon's going. I saw him reading in the Common Room, he didn't seem interested in the match."
Mason's eyes widened. "I never asked about –"
"Please, you surely weren't interested in me, and what other Ravenclaws do you know besides Eamon?" She gave him a glassy stare. "Whatever the case may be, I do not have time for you right now, we have a match to attend. Take care." She nodded at him before leaving, pulling her friend along with her.
When they reached the grounds, they spotted a student dressed in all red rushing towards them with a huge smile, but once he recognized the girls, his smile faded.
"Oh, it's you," he mumbled. "Never mind, then."
"Hey, you're that Tommy bloke with the Gryffindor merchandise, correct?" Sage remembered him.
