Prologue

Noelle

I had a name of a girl - seriously my parents, thanks a lot.

The difference I have with any other girl is that I'm loaded.

When I say loaded - it's old money. My parents were both hailed from bussiness moguls, owning the greatest company in the Philippines. their union come from merging of business of both side of the family. At eighteen, that's where my life is heading. 

I'm perfect in every part. I'm waiting to be introduced to the perfect partner from prestigious family. With keeping with the tradition that I vehemently opposed for how many months, my mom finally got to introduce me as debutant regardless of my objection. Who wouldnt oppose? Perhaps my mom forgot that I'm a boy cause for the longest time she had indulge herself in dolling me up. 

This is her idea of coming to age, coming out into the real world, to find the a partner. If she only knew what I have been up to until now. 

There on the other side of the ball was my brother with Zander. They both turn to look at me and Zander ever so slightly tipped his mouth into a smile. His stare from across the room pulled my breath into my throat.

I cant help it.

I still have this stupid crush on Zander. Dark eyes and dark brown hair. He wasnt a boy. He is a man with broad shoulder, bronze colored muscle and confidence in spades. A complete off limits older man that is forbidden.

But he and his bestfriend has plan for tonight. He will confess tonight and care flew out of the window for consequences.

After his introduction, he sought Zander who is smoking in the balcony. he was nervous as hell and cant seem to utter a word. 

'Hey Noelle whats up?', Zander greeted him and pat his head. he is always like that to him, a big brother.

'I got something to tell you Zander, bear with me for a moment will you,' he nervously told him as he gather his courage.

'What are you trying to say to me? Come on you can tell me!' Zander urge him.

'Zan...der,' Noelle is stuttering but he continues, 'i...i...li..ke ...you ...so much.' he jump on Zander and proceed to kiss him, just at that moment his brother with Zander's date arrive.

'What's the meaning of this Zander?' c3onnor and Zander's date both said.

'I dont know he just come up to me and suddenly kiss me.' Zander said and push Noelle away.

'Noelle?' Connor probe more but Noelle felt like dying at that moment willing the floor to swallow him up.

'Babes let go, Connor I'll talk to you tomorrow,' Zander said to his brother, there he saw how devoted Zander to his date and it break him into pieces.

'Noelle you shouldn't have done that to Zander. He is in a relationship and it wouldn't be nice for his fiance to see you like that with Zander.' his brother admonish him.

With pain in his heart he swore to never cross path with Zander ever again. He walk directly to his mother and ask her to send him to America as soon as possible. Days leading to his departure he kept avoiding his brother and his friends when they are at home.

Night before his departure he and his friend went to a bar and drunk the night away. he was so drunk when he arrive home and met Zander by the door of his room.

'Noelle what are doing with your life? Heard your leaving for the states?' Zander asked him. 'Are you really going?' he asked him and it feels like he is pleading for him that he is mistaken.

'Yes I'll be leaving tomorrow afternoon. It was planned way before. Wouldnt you be happy? No more Noelle to pester you.' He said bitterly. He was pushed towards his bedroom door and he heard curses from Zander. What he didnt expect was a heart wrenching kiss from Zander. One thing lead to another.

They spent the night in each other arms sharing the most sweetest torture of longing, Noelle give in to his feeling, ecstastic believing that Zander feels the same way. He woke up alone in a cold bed without Zander in sight. No trace of what had happened the night before. All felt like a dream, unreal.

As he was dragging his luggage out of their house he saw the announcement of Zander's upcoming wedding to his fiance. That piece of news seal the faith of his first love. He bowed to never be entangled again with Zander. He bowed to break Zander as he had break him.

'I'll come back Zander and I'll make sure you will be begging me to take you,' Noelle promised to himself as he leave Manila for good.
