Chapter One: Making A Friend
Tsuna had lived a simple life in his opinion. He only talked to people when they talked to him, he didn't go out of his way to do anything, and he made sure to follow the rules so as to not get in trouble. He didn't do anything crazy enough to make himself stand out too much, but he didn't not do anything so he wouldn't draw attention that way. For the most part, it worked, but there was a special few times where something happened and it drew attention to him. Every time something like that happened, he moved quickly. Thankfully for him, that had only happened twice.
His schedule was simple. Every Monday he went shopping after school; every Tuesday he went to a local restaurant to eat - the usual being a sushi place he should probably know the name of by now - and got a cake from a cafe; Wednesdays he cleaned the house; Thursdays he cleaned the yard and took out the trash; Friday was the day he finished all school work; and Saturday and Sunday were his off days. The only thing that happened every day was when he woke up at 6:30am and was in his house by 8:30pm. It was simple, and he liked it that way.
He had little to no interactions with people and he lived on the outskirts of town. The only times he was around people was during school, shopping and eating out. He barely talked, though, but no one seemed to mind.
There was one boy, however, that had gained his attention. The boy had firetruck red hair, black framed glasses, and wore the uniform of a neighbouring school. He was surprised when he first saw the boy walking down his street, but he shook his head and ignored him. The fifth time he saw him, though, Tsuna walked up to him and poked his shoulder.
"Hello?" The red head jumped slightly at Tsuna's soft voice, "I've not ever seen you around before, are you new here?"
The red head quickly composed himself and smiled at the light brunet. "Yeah," he said and stuck his hand out in greeting, "My name is Shoichi Irie. I moved here about a week ago."
Tsuna nodded to himself before taking the other's hand and shaking it, "Nice to meet you, Shoichi-san. My name is Tsunayoshi."
"Likewise, Tsunayoshi-san." the redhead smiled awkwardly.
"What school do you attend?" the shorter asked as the two started walking, "If you don't mind me asking, that is."
"No, not at all! I'm actually going to be homeschooled. I just got back from my last day at my old school."
"Oh." A silence fell over the two as they walked down the street. It was slightly awkward for the two because neither liked to talk to people. Both seemed to realise this, so they didn't say anything as they walked down the street. When they came to the last intersection, they stopped. "I go straight ahead here." Tsuna pointed down the worn out continuation of the road they stood on.
"I turn right." Shoichi pointed to his right. The two looked at each other before the redhead pulled a paper and pen out of his bag and wrote something down, "This is my address, in case you need something."
Tsuna nodded as he accepted the paper. "It was nice meeting you, Shoichi-san." he tucked the paper into his pocket, "I hope we see each other again. Shoichi flushed, embarrassed by the comment, but nodded nonetheless. Both had the feeling they'd be meeting each other again as they parted ways at the intersection.
What an interesting development.

School was absolute hell, to put it lightly. A new student was introduced to his class and the boy glared at literally everything, like, what's his problem? Anyway, with the new student came explosions throughout the day and a baby wandering around the school grounds. Tsuna would've questioned it, but no one else did, so he didn't bring it up. Not even when he caught the child staring at him a few times.
