Chapter Six: Arrival In Italy
Lo and behold, Tsuna's class won the Interclass Competition. Now, he didn't know how, but he was more than sure that Reborn had something to do with the results. Honestly, Tsuna was running out of fucks to give and that was not a good sign. So, when the email was sent out Friday night, he told everyone in his house - Shoichi had decided to spend the weekend there, and Tsuna was seriously considering just having the boy move in with him - that he would be going to Italy on Monday morning and coming back Saturday night. The Varia were as happy as Tsuna was about the trip and Shoichi was stuck trying to placate everyone.
"Who decided it would be a good idea to-" Squalo cut himself off when he realised exactly who was in Tsuna's class. "Reborn."
And suddenly, everyone realised. "Reborn."
Sighing in resignation, Tsuna opened up the email to finish reading it. Enclosed was a packing list, things they would be doing, places they'd be stopping, and where they would be staying. The location made Tsuna's head slam into the table they were all sitting around. No one expected the reaction, so they all jumped and looked at the youngest.
"Moh, what's wrong?" Mamon asked. They took Tsuna's phone when he handed it to them and read the email completely before saying, "I see."
"What?" Xanxus growled, not appreciating the headache he felt coming on.
"The class is going to be staying in the Vongola Mansion."
"What?!"
Honestly, Tsuna doesn't even know why they're surprised.

Early Monday morning - basically late Sunday night - Xanxus dropped Tsuna off at the airport. He informed the Sky that he and the Varia would be in Italy at some point to take care of some business and that they'd probably bring Shoichi with them. When asked 'why', he just said not to worry about it. Tsuna was going to worry about it anyway.
Leaving his older brother at the entrance, Tsuna made his way to the terminal where his class was meeting. The only other ones there so far were Nezu-sensei and the Vongola Candidates with Sawagawa Kyoko and Korukawa Hana. Tsuna elected to stand by himself and text Shoichi. At some point, he felt stares on him and the voice in his head told him that it was Sawada, his Guardians and Reborn. Apparently, they were talking about him. Though, only Chrome came to stand by him.
"Hello." the shy girl greeted, "Mukuro-sama says you and him grew up together. Is that true?"
Having long since begun coping with humour and not shying from the topic, Tsuna just nodded and whispered back, "Yeah. We never actually met until recently but we grew up in the Labs together."
No more words were exchanged between the two as they waited to board the plane. Neither of them left the other's company, though. Occasionally, they'd sneak glances at each other, but the wait was completely quiet, even as the rest of their class showed up with their upperclassmen chaperones.
"What are Hibari and Sasagawa-senpi doing here?!" He heard Sawada demand Reborn. He was rewarded with a kick to the head.
"They're here as chaperones, Baka-Yasu. Keep up."
Tuning out the rest of the conversation, Tsuna accepted the ticket from his teacher and boarded the plane when the class was called. Chrome sat beside him, but he didn't mind. She was quiet and didn't talk to him, so he was unbothered. He felt that the only other person in the class he could probably stand would have been Korukawa-san, but he wasn't going to approach her.
As anyone who has ever flown cheap will tell you, red-eye flights are the worst. Tsuna was unable to sleep around so many people, so he was awake for the entire six hour flight from Japan to Italy. Beside him, Chrome had gotten some four hours of sleep, and most of the class had slept the entire flight. Not Tsuna, though. Not only could he not sleep around so many unfamiliar people, but he could also feel Reborn staring at him occasionally. It was really unnerving and made Tsuna want to jump out of the plane.
