I hit the answer button and prepared myself, not knowing whether it was going to be good or not so good news.

"Something happened."

At the sound of those words, I turned to look at Tyler. He returned my glance with a sympathetic look. He knew. He just knew.

"Um" I couldn't coherently speak. I don't know why. Maybe it was because of the possibility they saved Troye, or maybe it was the possibility that they didn't. Whatever it was, it seemed to not allow me to speak properly.

"We received a call from the hospital facility. A nurse called and warned us that the person, now known as a man, had shot a few bullets. We could clearly here gunfire in the background. We also learned some innocent lives had been taken as well by the gunshots." He spoke out, clearly being in understanding of how I was feeling after hearing those words slip from his lips.

"Oh my god. Shit. Have you um have you found a way in yet?" I spit out, trying to sound as clear and put together as I could in that moment.

My heart felt like it dropped as soon as those words had came through the phone. How was Troye? Was he still safe? Could they get him out? I just wanted to see him again. I needed to see him again. I've grown so close to him, that when he's away, it feels like a part of me is missing. He truly is my other half. And I need my other half to be whole again.

"That is the other part of the news.
We have found the safest way into the building. That man was truly smart, he thought everything through. The security system holding them inside and us outside was finally cracked and we got access inside. We decided it was best to enter the facility now, because the man is most likely distracted and unfortunately firing his weapon. As of thirty minutes ago, officers have entered the hospital." The words came through the speaker as if he had rehearsed it. He's probably had to tell many people information and updates before.

"I, d-do you have contact with the officers in the facility?" Tyler asks from beside me. I almost forgot he was there. He must be feeling at least some of the same things I was.

"We do have contact with them. Also before I forget, you guys may want to come to the station. I don't want to ruin your hopes, but there is a good chance that you'll get some more information, or maybe even get to see Troye. Don't hold that against me though." He warned at the end.

"Ok, thank you" I spit out quickly, hanging up the phone as fast as I could.

I lift myself from the couch and trudge over to the tv to shut it off. As I did so, I turned to look at Tyler.

"Are you ready to go?"

It was as if he was reading my mind, because he was already slipping his feet into his shoes. He nodded in response. I quickly jogged around my apartment, getting anything I would possibly need. I just wanted to see Troye. I know it wasn't certain that we would see him, but just the chance made me giddy.

I looked my apartment over before finally closing the apartment door and following Tyler to my car.

It was only a short ride to the police station, but it felt so much longer for the pure fact that my mind wouldn't stop. I often thought about things and and got distracted, but this was different. This was Troye. I could think about Troye for ages. It was just the fact that random and unlikely possibilities were playing through my mind. What if something did go wrong? What if he actually died this time? I should have said more to him. I should have told him I loved him more often. I could've already been too late. We just don't know for sure yet.

"You missed the turn Con." Tyler reminded me as we passed the entrance to the station.

"Oh right." My cheeks turned red as I flipped around to go back to the entrance. This was going to be a long day.

As soon as I put my car into park I was nearly jumping out of the door. I just wanted to get in there. Even if we were going to just be sitting there, I wanted to get in there.

"Easy there tiger." Tyler said withs straight face. He clearly wasn't himself, he was tense and kept nervously biting a his nails, a habit of his I learned over time. I knew exactly why he was feeling like this, but I didn't know how to make him feel better. I just didn't.

I pulled open the front door with a hard tug and heard a chime sound from above my head.

I looked over my surroundings as soon as I stepped in the door. There was the front desks, then a rather large sitting area in the corner. On the other side of the room was a hallway leading to what I expected was the rest of the police station.

"Nice seeing you here today." The man politely smiled as he greeted us at the front desk.

"You too." I faked a smile, hoping it looked a little bit convincing.

Tyler was already walking over to the sitting area before I could stop him. I decided just to follow him. Where else were we suppose to go?

"I'm assuming you are associated with Troye." The man from the front counter spoke up without tearing his eyes from his computer screen.

"Yeah" I let out a big sigh. The day had only begun and I was already feeling exhausted. Then again I was already run down from being so worried this whole past week.

Tyler just say next to me staring at the ground. I just decided to leave him be as I turned back to the nameless man.

"Well you're in for a real treat." He said, turning his head to make eye contact with me.

"Huh?" Tyler and I nearly spoke at the same time.

"They found him."

I jumped to my feet. What? They have Troye? Is he fine? Is he hurt? Oh god.

"Woah, I didn't say they have him. They found him though. It's just that they are having um some slight troubles." He bit his lip while scanning his screen.

"Wait what kind of troubles?" I ask slightly confused.

"Um they know where Troye is and they found him, but they also found the gunman as well."

I sat back down in my seat. I took a deep breath as I rested my elbows on my knees and placed my face in my hand.

"Shit. Well we're in for a real fun day."

A/n. 20k reads already? Tf. I love you.
