Chapter 38

_Sage_

I woke up. My body felt cold. I looked down to see myself in a hospital gown? I looked around, I was still here.

What happened to my clothes?

My body was so sore, I could barely turn my head. I heard footsteps coming to the room. I sunk into myself. Afraid he was going to beat me again.

"You're finally awake. I had to remove your clothes since you can't be trusted, little one." He said.

"I told you I didn't have it.." I weakly said.

"It doesn't matter, I know this is your dad and his men doing this. All because you had to tell your little boyfriend my name that day!" He shouted, I gulped.

"He probably would've put the pieces together." I said in a snarky tone, he walked closer towards me.

"Don't use that tone with me. I'll beat the shit out of you again, if you do." He grumbled.

"I'm sorry." I quickly said, he nodded.

"Exactly what I thought." He then laughed.

"Is..Is my baby okay?" I hesitantly asked, he smirked.

"That baby no longer belongs to you, little one. But yes the baby is fine." I ignored the first part of what he said. This is my baby, that will never change.

"You're not to be left alone no more. So you'll have someone in the building with you everyday, all day." He spoke. I didn't find the need to say anything back. But I guess that pissed him off because he suddenly grabbed a chunk of my hair tightly.

"Do. You. Understand. Me?!" He spat in my face. I whimpered and quickly nodded.

He pulled my hair back, forcing my head with it.

"Words!" He shouted.

"Y..Yes I understand! Please!" I loudly said, he nodded.

"Good, little one. I'm happy you understand, because if you didn't things would've been bad for you. I'll stay with you for the rest of the night." He said.

"Okay." Is all I said.

He then left the room.

If I'm going to be watched all day, how am I going to get out?

This is bad, very bad.

_Third Person Pov_

Jaime and Jax sat at the kitchen table talking. "Let me go check on them." Jaime said and stood up to go into the living room. Mateo and Silvia are both sleeping. Silvia and Mateo were on the two separate sofas, while Aria was sat up on the couch slowly rocking the baby, trying to blink away the sleep. "Here let me take him, you get some sleep." Aria handed the baby to him.

"Are you sure?" She asked, Jaime nodded.

"Of course, get some sleep. I'll have Jax bring in one of the twins old crib's that's in the garage." Jaime said, the girl nodded and laid down. Jaime gave her a blanket and some extra pillows.

He then put some blankets on Mateo and Silvia. He then turned the lights off.

"Goodnight, you can turn the tv off if it bothers you." He said, she shook her head.

"Is it okay if I leave it on?" She asked, Jaime quickly nodded his head.

"Yes whatever is better for you, sweetheart. I'll leave the remote right here on the coffee table." She nodded.

"Goodnight." He said and went back into the kitchen with the baby in his arms.

He sat back down holding him. "I wonder if she has a name picked out yet." Jaime said.

"Yea she never said." Jaime shrugged.

"You need to get to bed." Jaime said to the baby as he snuggled him.

"Do you think you can go in the garage and grab Sage's old crib for him?" Jaime asked, still looking down at the adorable baby.

"Yeah, I'll be right back." Jax said and left the kitchen.

Jaime played with the baby while they waited.

Jax soon came back into the kitchen. "It's in the living room ready for him." Jaime nodded his head.

The two continued talking, as he slowly rocked the baby to sleep.

Jaime quietly carried the baby into the living room and gently placed him into the crib. He placed a small blanket on the baby. He stood up and looked at the peaceful sleeping baby, and then walked back to the kitchen.

"You should really get some sleep." Jax said to him as he sat back down, he sighed.

"Will you sleep with me?" Jaime asked, Jax nodded his head.

"You know I will." Jaime gave him a small smile.

"Okay, let me finish these dishes and then we can head to bed."

"I'll help you." Jax said as he stood up and grabbed the wine glasses off the table.

"Thank you." The two washed the dishes and put them away.

They made sure the doors were locked and headed upstairs. "I'm gonna change first." Jaime said and went into the bathroom.

Jax just took off his jeans and shirt to sleep in his boxers. Jaime gave him a look before turning his head away. The two go in the bed.

Jax slowly but gently wrapped his arm around Jaime's waist. "Is this okay for now?" Jax asked, Jaime nodded.

"Yea.." Jaime quietly muttered.

The two cuddled in silence.

"Do...Do you think...we're going to find him?" Jaime quietly uttered out, Jax sighed.

"I promise you, we're going to bring our baby home." Jax said, Jaime just hummed.

"And I'm going to kill Gabriel." Jax said.

"Not if I do it first. He took our child from us. I can't eat, obviously I can't sleep, all I can think about is Sage. I just want him to come home,
Jax. That's all I want." Jaime said as he once again cried, that's the only thing he felt like he could do.

"I know, I know." Jax whispered into his ear as he gently shushed.

"We're going to bring him back, I promise."
