Chapter 51

We arrived back at Mateos house. I handed the envelope to Maria. "Thank you." I said and got out, Mateo behind me.

"Of course, do guys want me to pick you up something to eat?" She asked, I looked at Mateo.

"Yes, thank you." She nodded and then drove off.

Mateo opened the front door and motioned me to go inside first. We got in and he instantly wrapped his arms around me.

"I can't wait another hour, I wanna know!" He happily yelled out, causing me to let out a small laugh.

"I know, me too!" I whined out. He placed a kiss onto my lips.

"Let's go watch a movie to distract ourselves." He said, I agreed. We went upstairs and cuddled while watching a movie.

An Hour Later

We were watching a movie when his mom walked into the room, big smile on her face. We both jumped up. "Come downstairs so we can find out the gender, and so you two can eat." She happily chirped and left his room. I gulped and turned to Mateo.

"I'm so nervous!" I whined and put my head in his chest, he rubbed the back of my head.

"Don't be. Come on let's go, no more waiting." He said and grabbed my hand, leading me downstairs and into the kitchen. I gasped when I entered. A little blue and pink cake sat in the middle of the table, and in Maria's hand was a black balloon that read Boy or Girl. I squealed and clapped my hands out of excitement, it was simple but cute. It was perfect.

"Mateo you better take pictures of this!" I ordered, the two of them laughed. He pulled out his phone and took a few photos.

Maria handed the ballon to me. "Thank you." I happily said.

Mateo handed me his phone so I could FaceTime Silvia. "Hey Sage." She spoke through the phone.

"Hey, are you with mom and dad?" I asked, she nodded and turned the camera to them standing in the living room. My grand parents then came into the frame.

"We're here too, and we miss you!" Grandpa finn said with a wave, I smiled and waved back.

"I miss you guys too. But look we're finding out the baby's gender!" I said and held the balloon up so they could see. Silvia gasped and moved the camera back to her.

"Aw it's so cute!"

"I know right?!" I happily shouted.

"We get to watch?!" My mom asked, I nodded.

"Hello! I'm Maria, Mateos mom. I'll hold the phone so you guys can watch." She said with a smile, my moms face lit up.

"Hi, it's so nice to meet you! Thank you for doing this for my baby, I can't thank you enough." My mom said in a sincere tone.

"I'm happy to do it for, Sage. He such a  sweetheart, and he makes my Mateo happy."

"It's the same with, Sage. That boy is all he talks about." My mom replied.

Mateo looked at me with a smile, he then placed a kiss on my forehead.

"Okay before you guys pop it, let me takes some pictures of you guys holding it!" Maria said and ushered us to get closer to each other.

I set Mateo's phone down so my family could see us when we pop it, and so we could take pictures.

"You guys look so cute!" My grandpa finn loudly said, Mateo and I both let out a light hearted laugh.

"Okay that should be good, I'm going to switch to recording now. Mateo how do I work this phone!"  Mateo walked over to his mom, I couldn't help the small giggle I let out. His mom is so cute.

"Ok here. Just click the red button when you want to start recording." He said and walked back over to me.

"Thank you, Mijo."

"Of course, Ma." Mateo uttered back, I grabbed his arms which resulted in him looking down at me with a smile.

"Are you ready?" He asked, I gave him a nod.

We both grabbed a little pin, I handed the balloon to Mateo. "Can you guys see us?" I asked to my family.

"Yes, pop it already!" My mom jokingly yelled.

"Countdown from three." Maria said. We all began counting down, my family included.

"3.."

"2.." Mateo and I positioned our pins close to the balloon.

"1..!" They shouted. Mateo and I both simultaneous stabbed the pins into the balloon.

Gasps and happy screams were heard through the room. "Oh my God!" I yelled out, Mateo picked me up and kissed me. He then lowered himself and kissed my stomach.

On the floor, and still falling was pink confetti. I squealed and grabbed Mateo again. "It's a girl!" Everyone let out a laugh.

"I know it's a girl, I'm so happy. I can't wait to meet you, angel." He said to my stomach.

"I'm so happy, Sage. That little girl is going to be spoiled!" My mom shouted through the phone.

We then spent the next 20 minutes talking about the baby.

Two Hours Later

Mateo and I were cuddling in his bed. I turned to him, to see him already starting at me.

"I can't believe we're having a girl, I'm so excited to start shopping for cute little outfits."

"We're going to spoil her so much."

"She's going to have whatever she wants." He whispered and gave me a kiss.

"I love you so much, Mateo."

"I love you too, Sage. And you." He said and placed his hands gently on my stomach. I lazily smiled.

I drifted off to sleep with a smile on my face and Mateo's arms around me, dreaming of my baby girl.
