You woke up in the library, and saw Fenrir eating a late dinner.

'Hello Mother, you slept a long time. Father left you dinner'

You see Loki wasn't around, he had awoke and carried you to the library and left you sleeping.

"I suppose he's gone for the night then, do you no which direction he went?"

'No mother, are you going to eat your food?'

"Umm no Fenrir, you eat it son. I'm just going to look for Loki. I won't be gone long"

You walked through the quiet palace halls, checking the obvious places for Loki but didn't find any sign of him.

You paced to the palace entrance and looked out into the gardens. The lights were oddly not lit up keyring the garden dark. You wondered why someone had turned off the lights.

It was eerily quiet, and you hesitated your decision to roam the dark outside, until you heard two people talking.

One of them was Loki, the other a women. You didn't recognise her voice but it was soft and sweet. You instantly felt jealous, and your heart began to race as you tried to listen to what was being said.

You slowly creeped down the steps and hid near a hedge, yet it was too dark to see anyone apart from shadows.

You strain your ears to hear the conversation.

"This is dangerous, anyone could catch us, we shouldn't meet here. Why didn't you come to my place as usual" the female voice clearly worried at being seen.

Your heart sank, Loki has been meeting this women at her home.

"I can't risk leaving, Odin questioned me earlier, he asks where I disappear to. Besides my energy is depleting too quickly. I really need you"

Your heart was breaking, he was weak yet still wanted her. You stepped a little closer trying to view her face. You hoped she wasn't as beautiful as her voice.

Your footing faltered, you snapped a twig from under you causing Loki to become cautious. He quickly grabbed the mysterious women by the waist and pulled her further away.

You watched as they continued speaking in secret, but you couldn't hear anything. You saw their black shadows touch hands, then Loki lean into her for an embrace.

You heard her yell a louder whisper as he began to walk away "I will see you tomorrow"

You quickly ran up the palace steps and down the hall, faintly hearing Loki's footsteps not far behind you.

You dart inside the library and see Fenrir fast asleep with a full belly, with haste you sprang into his fur and closed your eyes, pretending to be asleep.

You hear the library door creak open, and Loki walking towards you.

"Kitten are you awake?" he says softly, stroking your hair.

You don't answer, you don't move. Your heart pounded in your chest as you try your hardest to remain calm and relaxed as though in a deep sleep.

Inside you were screaming at him, feeling betrayed and hurt. But you couldn't bring yourself to confront him, not in front of Fenrir, not yet. You needed to decide what you wanted to do, what you'll say.

You felt Loki kiss your lips gently, leaning his forehead on yours. "I miss you sweetheart" he whispers.

You felt your eyes welling up, worried that at any moment a tear will fall from closed eyes and he'll see.
