You stood idle within the wide hallway of Jotunheim palace, just outside the entrance of the grand hall that currently housed hundreds of important guests.

Your traditional Jotun two piece dress, adorned your body elegantly. Yet your round bump on show knocked your confidence.

"So, how do I look?...Somewhat decent I hope?" you ask, suddenly doubting your appearance.

You look towards Kai needing affirmation, desperately seeking a boost of confidence to stop your body trembling from nervous excitement.

"You look...absolutely....huge! ...I mean, there's big and then there is you. Are you even able to fit through those giant doors?" Kai exclaims, pointing towards the huge doorway just in front of you. "The great hall of Jotunheim seems small in comparison to you Ma Belle... and it's used to accommodate the biggest of frost giants!"

Your offended mouth dropped open, and if anyone else other than Kai had said those words you think you would have cried. But you knew Kai by now. He often used the healing power of humour, to swart away nerves and oddly it worked.

"You're an ass Kai"

"I'm kidding Ma Belle, you look positively beautiful. And it's true what they say" he says, positioning his body in front of you "Pregnant women do glow"

You smile, forgiving him for his earlier comment.

"And Voltaire had a theory for the glow effect. He thought that the-"

"Not now Kai!" you exclaim, cutting him off quick before he got into a long conversation about his beloved Voltaire and his theories.

He chuckled, and repositioned himself by your side "Fine, fine...are you ready?"

You take a deep breath and exhale, and Kai kindly offers you his arm. You push aside your nerves and link with him before lifting your chin and staring ahead.

"I'm ready"

The large golden doors slowly began to open and the loud chatter behind them immediately went quiet.

A soft melody started to play and instantly you knew Loki chose the piece. You've heard him hum it many times in your early relationship and most recently he chimed the same tune against your belly. Believing it would calm your nausea if baby blue heard it. You were impressed when it did in fact work, but you were still convinced it was Loki's familiar voice that settled your baby, not the melody itself.

The grand hall of Jotunheim was the largest hall in all the realms. It had to be, as it needed to fit many frost giants all at once. It's always been a regal place, decorated to high standards. But you were excited to see its finished look, after being embellished and beautified for your royal wedding.

Butterflies raved inside you, as you watched the doors come to a halt, now fully open.

Kai confidently escorted you in with his proud face on show, and immediately you heard the short, sudden intake of many breaths. But the sounds of the crowd only heightened your nerves. Were they pleased noises or sounds of loathing? You wasn't sure, and it made you tense.

Kai squeezed your arm sensing your anxiety and instantly you mellowed your edginess. You excitedly looked around the hall, and focussed on the lavish decorations instead, purposely avoiding the gaze of the mass that swarmed all sides of you.

You were still unsure how the other realms perceived you, and really didn't want to see hatred in anyone's gaze, not this day.

Your wide eyes filled with amazement. The magnificent hall was adorned with extravagant beauty, and the lavish detail put into the design was truly breathtaking.
