Everly felt uneasy and restless as she tried to lay on the bed after she had come home from the celebrations. After what she had heard from Sam it was impossible for her to close her eyes and sleep. So she decided to sneak out of the house and go to Adam's.

'Be there in 10 mins, come to the backyard.' She sent a message to Adam and left her house. She thought, there were fifty percent changes that he wouldn't see the message because of his behavior these days, but she still took the chance to go.

She came quietly inside the gate, over the years she had established a small way from which she came in and out. She headed straight towards the backyard and there he was, an absolute vision for her. She went and gave a hug to him, for a little longer than usual.

"What was so important that you wanted to meet at this hour? Everything okay?" Adam asked, as Everly still continued hugging Adam.

"Yeah.... no... everything is not fine, we are not fine." Everly said as she left his embrace and headed towards the bench to sit.

"Are you going to say anything?" Adam said as he sat beside her.

"Adam, what is going on with you, is everything alright.. I don't understa..."

"Enough Everly, I am okay. Why do you keep asking me that?" Adam cut Everly in between, with sort of an annoyed tone.

"Don't be annoyed with me Adam."

"Then stop asking me."

"Okay, I won't."

After a brief silence Everly continued in an attempt to be more chirpy, "You should have been there today, you know what happened?!"

"What?" Adam let go of his annoyed attitude and turned towards Everly, indicating that she had his full attention now.

"Sam, told us yesterday that he is gay, and I was so happy for him!" Everly squealed a little as she broke the news to Adam.

"Really! Wow!!"

"Yeah, his boyfriend also came yesterday, his name is Will, cute as button he is. He talked to all of us, we all got to know each other, and guess what, he is coming for the next game, so you will be able to him there."

Adam had no response to this, he desperately wanted to talk about Maheen, with Everly, he wanted to tell her how happy he was with her, and how wonderful everything was, but he had to respect Maheen's wishes. Even though he did not like it, but he understood it, it was better to keep things private until the situation is clear.

"Hey, where are you lost?" Everly snapped Adam out if his thoughts.

"Just wondering, it is so great to be with whoever you want to, fills my heart up with joy!" Adam said as he leaned forward a bit and stared into the darkness thinking about Maheen and how truly content he was with her.

"Yeah, same. He told us how he came out to his parents and it was so amazing. I might have just cried a little, hearing that. The risks you take for love. He is admirable."

"You cried, I would love to see that!" Adam said jokingly.

"If you were there, you would have." Everly taunted. After a few giggles, there was again a silence between them.

"Hearing Sam, I too started wondering about some things." Everly said as she broke the silence. "He had the courage to be with someone he loved, and was not afraid at all to do that. I myself have loved someone for a long time, and I think it is time that I so something about it."

"Yeah?" Adam was attentive again and curious as to what Everly was about to say. He had literally no clue as to what was coming next.

"Adam.... I have been holding this in my heart for a really long time."
