A week went by, Octavia was still in the hospital, the team was still in Houston, and Celeste and Aaron had minimal contact since he left in the middle of the night after Ryan's attack.
Celeste walked out of the elevator onto the floor that she got to familiar with in the last week, she smiled at the nurses that she got used of seeing everyday as she walked in the same room she walked in yesterday and the days before. Celeste looked at the empty bed that was in front of her, she smile to herself when she heard curses coming from the bathroom. the door open and Octavia slowly walked out as she was pushing her meds machine.
"It's about time you got here, I need that damn coffee" she let as she slowly made her way to the bed.
"Were happy this morning" Celeste let out as she set the coffee on the rolling table.
"Your sister kept me up all night" Octavia let out as she settled in the bed and pulled the table towards her, Celeste let out a chuckle as she took out her phone and looked at it, she let out a deep breath as she put it away and looked at her best friend. Octavia's eye and lip looked better the swelling went down, but like her own black eye they were pretty much matching in colours.
"Haven't heard from him yet" Octavia knew that is was bothering her best friend, but Celeste was playing the "it's fine I don't care" card.
"There on a case, there busy" Celeste let out as she took her usual seat in the chair that permenatly resided next to Octavia's bed. Octavia took the coffee and took a sip she closed her eyes and let out a moan. Celeste let out a laugh, the red head looked at her best friend again her eyes went to her neck where there was dark purple thick lines made by her ex fingers.
"How is your neck?" she asked, Celeste swalloed her sip of coffee.
"It's tender, but better" she said, Octavia gave her a little nod.
"So why did Gabrielle kept you up all night" Celeste asked as she looked up at her best friend who threw her head back in her pillow, Celeste knew that this was going to be a long conversation she got comfortable in the chair as she listen to Octavia rant away.
Couple of hours went by and the two were having a conversation about some old co-workers when a nurse walke in with a smile on her face.
"Ready for you last scan?" she asked. Octavia gave her a nod as she started moving out of the bed.
"This scan is going to determine if you good to go home tomorrow or not" the nurse said as she smiled at Celeste who gave her a smile.
"Well I hope I pass with flying colours, not that I don't like you, is just you know"
"I get it" The nurse help Octavia to sit in the wheelchair.
"shouldn't be to long" the nurse said to Celeste.
"Yeah no worries" as she watched them walk out of the room.
Celeste stood and walked to the window and looked out at the parking lot, people were coming in and out of the building, lost in thought her phone buzzed and made her jump. Celeste looked down and her heart skipped a beat when she saw her boss's name appear, she hassitated for a moment before openning the chat.
Hotch: We closed the case, getting on the jet soon.
Celeste: Sound good, do you need me at headquarters?
Celeste press send and looked up, there was a heavy weight lifted knowing that everyone especially Aaron was safe and that they were coming home, her phone buzzed again.
Hotch: We need to talk when I get home so yes I need you to meet me there, I'll let you know when we land.
Celeste read the text over and over as panic was setting, what did they need to talk about? was this about them and there sneaking around? the team found out? Celeste was asking all sorts of questions that she didn't even noticed that Octavia was back.
