Even though Keqing's upset about the fact that she can't realistically even have a chance with Ganyu, it doesn't deter her from acting normal around her best friend when they return to school.

Keqing was well... just Keqing, you know? Just the best friend of the most brilliantly radiant person she had ever met in her life, and it's scary how she realizes the fact that if she ever blurted out her feelings in a state of panic, there's such a huge chance that the most wondrous friendship of her life could... begin to crack.
It always starts off small, of course it does, but even the smallest of cracks can lead to the end of what was only the best friendship of her life.
The frequent professions of platonic love between the two would begin to lessen, because the Cryo wielder would know that Keqing saying that she loved her wasn't just as friends anymore, and the tinges of awkwardness would not simply dissipate into thin air, and would rather build up until eventually, her best friend and crush would tell the lavender - haired girl that she simply couldn't be friends anymore because she felt uncomfortable, or whatever.
And Keqing would rather be hurt evermore than risk losing the most important person in the world.
Because unfortunately for her, Ganyu was just too precious to lose so easily.

"Keqing!" smiles Ganyu, her delicate features curving up as she greets her best friend with an expression of glee, enveloping her in a short - yet warm - hug. It's so wonderful to see her again, even though it's not been that long since their previous meetup. "Yuyu!" responds Keqing cheerfully, ever joyful to see her best friend. Almost immediately, the two start whining about the classes that they had for the day, because school was an everlasting nuisance, of course.
"Dear god, I absolutely CANNOT stand our Biology teacher. Like seriously, how homophobic can someone be?" exclaims Ganyu, exaggerating wildly with her hands as her eyebrows furrow with an expression of frustration resting on her gentle features. "Honestly - I don't even have him and he sounds like an absolute bitch to deal with. What's with Biology teachers and their general homophobia?" remarks Keqing, annoyed as they walk up the stairs.
"I don't know, maybe it's the whole 'male - female only' thing that humans seem to have made up, but they do realize that literally so many species exhibit homosexual behaviors, right? Seriously, how come humans are supposed to be the smartest animal of all and yet for some reason, we decided to make other humans pay for their damn homes! Capitalism, sexism, racism, homophobia - the list just goes on and on! I'm not religious, but imagine if God really did exist," rants Ganyu, glancing at the Electro wielder with an expression of utter disgust.
"He'd so regret throwing us onto Earth. We're both humans, and we both know how humans fucking suck ass. We literally landed here and were immediately like, hey, how about we fuck up Earth? And for some reason, other humans agreed?" responds Keqing, completely agreeing with the qilin on her views. The two find themselves having reached the first lesson of their day, luckily being a free lesson.
So Keqing sits on a table, and Ganyu follows suit, but pulls out her laptop and instead sits on the carpeted floor, finding it much more comfortable rather than the general clunkiness of the school chairs. As the two engage themselves in videos, the blue - haired woman occasionally shows her friend videos, and of course, Keqing finds herself more engrossed with the qilin than the actual video.
The way her bangs had been getting especially long recently, causing her to constantly need to brush them back as she sighs happily, and the giggles that leave her from time to time at funny parts and the gentle smile on her face - honestly, it was all just a little too much to handle.
The fluttering warmth that fills her entire body from merely watching the qilin enjoying the content that she was watching. Soon enough, Keqing finds herself bored of YouTube, and swaps to Twitter as she checks her timeline, and notices a tweet from her dearest Ganyu.
'At school atm w Qing and watching funni video' - Cocomyfuckingnuts at 8:30 AM
"Ganyu, what the fuck," shrieks Keqing teasingly, showing her crush the tweet. "What?" responds Ganyu, acting as if everything was normal. "What on earth is that fucking username?" retorts Keqing, but her eyebrow twitches from amusement, and it isn't long before the two collapse into laughter from the tweet and the gorgeous username accompanying it.
Keqing responds with a lovely message, of course.

The two giggle yet again as they resume the content they were consuming - Keqing writing intricate fanfiction about lesbians railing each other whilst Ganyu continued to tweet some of the most cursed shit that the lavender - haired woman had seen in her life, of course.
When they leave, they meet up with Xiangling outside the classroom, who was hibernating in the bathroom from boredom.
