Jak told all of the kids to gather as much wood as they could, but Blue Bell stayed in the tent. "You think I'm breaking a nail over this? No way!" "Shhhhh.", Jak said in a whisper, "He may be dumb, but the giant can still hear us. Ok, we need to stack the wood as tall as we can. Here, use this rope to hold it together." They had just finished when Blue Bell went to see what they were doing. Jak had left to get the giant. "What on earth are you doing?", she said. "Waiting for Jak.", said Grits. Suddenly, the ground shook. "That's him.", said Ham. He and Grits started running, but Blue Bell had no idea what was going on. Jak screamed, "RUN AGAIN!", grabbing Blue Bell's arm. "FE FI FO FAKE, I'LL GRIND YOUR BONES TO MAKE A CAKE!", roared the giant. "He's lying about the cake, he only makes bread.", said Jak. The trap had worked. The giant tripped over the wood pile, and fell to the ground. Thankfully, Jak and Blue Bell stepped to the side before the giant could crush them. "AH YEA!", said Jak. "We did it! We killed him!" Jak was right. When he fell off the bean stalk, he had only a slight head ache. But as he tripped over the wood, in the same way as Jil, he had a serious concussion. And died. "What have we done?!", said Blue Bell. "We....we..." she started crying. "What's the matter?", said Jak. "What's the matter?! WE JUST KILLED SOMEONE!", said Blue Bell. "Hey, they killed my sister, so an eye for an eye." "Just because this giant 'killed' her makes it right for you to kill him? He looks like he was only a child!" "Well yea, wait, uh..." Jak didn't know what to say. "This is inhumane. No matter what else they could have done to you, nobody would ever deserve this. You should be ashamed." They were both silent after that. "Hey, you guys. Come here and check this out!", said Ham. All of them went to see that the golden humming bird had just laid an egg that hatched. Three baby birds popped out of the egg shell. "Now we can all have one!", shouted Ham.
