"I wish we could have beaten him." Paku explains to Ziva. "Why did the two-headed dragon betray his own kind?"
"We'll never know now." Ziva replies sadly. Losing Ellis and Naria in the same day had taken its toll on the two young dragons, and now they needed to find a place to try and recover from the battle. They landed in a grassy clearing near a lake, where they laid down in the shade of a tree.
"Not yet, anyways." Ziva said, looking up at the sky. "But we still need to rest."
"I hope he will be alright." Paku says, checking on the unconscious Patch.
"Me too..."
They stay silent, thinking sadly about Ellis and Naria's fate. They had nowhere to go, and their list of allies grew thinner by the second. Despite this, Paku and Ziva had each other, as they both fall asleep in each other's arms, the bond between the two dragons stronger than ever before.
