Trouble is near

Amber -

It had been some busy months for Lynx in the city because Lynx had started to get a busy schedule and I was more often by myself. Since I hadn't approached any of my classmates my social life had become dependent on Lynx and her social circle, so therefore you see why I had more free time than I would have liked. Although on those few times we did meet up, I noticed how their relationship was not as loving as I thought it was. Lynx would get slightly stiff when Jake kissed her and rather than cuddling up when watching a movie, each would be on the contrary sides of the couch, although this was only when I casually glanced at them when I was watching, or rather, people were watching they were a perfect couple straight out of a romance movie.

As I got to know Jake I got to know more about him, in class, we would exchange notes and in breaks when Lynx was too busy talking to her friends, we would talk and joke around. The more I got to know him, the more I got attached. He loved making cookies and staying up late to watch bad horror movies, he had an adorable puppy named Felix that always made him smile. His brown eyes would light up whenever he explained the whole storyline of Star Wars and his hair would get messed up at the slightest wind. More often I found myself thinking about him and how his presence was a comfort to me, while Lynx was really nice, there was just something that made me want to stay with Jack the whole time.

Lynx-

Alright, I'm gonna have to stop my girl Amber right there before we have another page of how Jack was so amazing, Amber we get it you have fallen in love with the guy. As for myself, I can say that my "relationship" with Jack started as a small favor, you see Jack's parents were well-known politicians that wanted their son to follow in their footsteps, so their son being introverted and awkward in social situations was not something that they really saw in a future politics man. They constantly asked questions like; Why don't your friends come over?, 'When will you leave those silly toys and go out? referring to the many star wars figures he had in his room. While Jack was used to these questions he was letting the pressure get to him and tried to find a solution so his parents would leave him alone, and there is where I came in. While I was enjoying my high school life, I had earned myself a pretty good reputation and as Jack and I usually were in the same classes and talked sometimes, he asked me to be his fake girlfriend for a day and I agreed in exchange for a nice cup of coffee and some cheesecake because I had started to love sweets.

We met up in a cafeteria and talked to his parents there, they were polite and asked me almost everything about myself, after we were done eating I kindly dismissed myself and proceeded to head home.
