CHAPTER 28

Lynx:

There I was seated on what has to be the most comfortable sofa in the whole world, with a bunch of pillows resting at my side, waiting for my father to finish brewing tea, yes neither of us needed it but my father had a love for chamomile tea and he was insistent on making me love it as well. Finally, when tea was brewed and poured in a nice set of flowery cups, we finally got to chat.

Lucca: How's the tea?

Lynx: It's good dad, delicious as always

Lucca: Thank you, now I have something important to tell you

Lynx: I could tell father, you look a mess which is very unlike you

Lucca: You are very much my daughter, we share the same keen eye

Lynx: Yeah I know dad, but what was that you wanted to tell me?

Lucca: Curiosity kicked in huh?

Lynx: Indeed it did

Lucca: Alright I'll be out with it

Lucca: You remember your friend who you gave the deadly potion? you may have overestimated its effect of it. Turns out it wasn't deadly at all, it just put your friend in a coma and was slowly destroying her body, truly shows your skill honestly.

Lynx: Hold on WHATt!

Lucca: Wait, there's more to it, yes she was in a coma but it was impossible to tell because of the fantastic job you did, she would have actually been buried alive If I wouldn't detect the quiet beat of her heartbeat, which was muffled and almost impossible to hear if it wasn't for the single second the potion failed. Anyways when I got close enough I took her body and cast an illusion so no one would notice and started to work on waking her up.

Lynx: So is she..okay?

Lucca: Before I answer that, real quick lesson on angel magic, basically we can manage to use our magic without any help just fine, but for a stronger effect there is a way to condense the energy magic into stronger magic; that is with runes. To sum it up you draw the rune and it will strengthen the magic and do a better job. For your friend, I had to use a rune to completely heal her. The thing with the rune I drew on her, is it draws a lot of magic to be drawn and as all runes are, a single mistake could harm her.

Lynx: Father is she alright or not

Lucca: So your skilled dad managed to finish the rune and healed your friend, but you must know there are some funny details to be worked on...

It was then that the robed figure of Amber came into my view, as she burst through the door she interrupted my father and came into the room, in a silk gown that seemed almost made for her, her hair was loose and cascading down her back until it reached her hips and her expression was one of pure amazement. I was frozen in place, with my legs unable to move and my heart banging in my chest, that was until my view was blocked by a mass of white feathers.
